Hi, I am currently using arcgis portal 10.3 and would like to upgrade to the latest version 10.7. My question is - once the portal is upgraded, will it affect the existing webmaps and hosted applications that uses 10.3 version?. Just to be in safe side I don't want to break/loose any hosted connection with these services. Also some applications and resources are consumed in in survey 123 and arcgis collector apps, I was wondering if these Apps/products also need to be upgraded. Would appreciate for any suggestions in this regard. Thanks Kush

Hi Ryan, I have also the same issue especially when editing the polygon in web map that failed to perform the editing operation giving the same error in server logs. Did you fix yet?. Please let me know if there is a better way to tackle this if you have fixed this issue? Thanks, Kush

I have some progress on intersecting the polygon inside of multiple polygon but I want to split into individual geometry with respective objectID. Is there anyway or API reference to achieve this geoprocessing task? Here is the snippet: //query overlapping feature on ExistingPolygon ExistingPolygon.queryFeatures(queryOverlappingOuterPolygon, function(overlappingFeatureSet) { var queryOverlappingOuterPolygon = new Query(); queryOverlappingOuterPolygon.geometry = addedFeature.geometry; queryOverlappingOuterPolygon.outSpatialReference = map.spatialReference; queryOverlappingOuterPolygon.spatialReference = Query.SPATIAL_INTERSECTS; //query overlapping features on IntersectingPolygon ExistingPolygon.queryFeatures(queryOverlappingOuterPolygon, function(overlappingFeatureSet) { if(overlappingFeatureSet.features.length == 0 || overlappingFeatureSet.features.length == 1) { return; } var geometryArr = []; for(var index = 0; index < overlappingFeatureSet.features.length; index++) { if(addedFeature.attributes["OBJECTID_1"] !== overlappingFeatureSet.features[index].attributes["OBJECTID_1"]) { geometryArr.push(overlappingFeatureSet.features[index].geometry); } } //union of all overlapping features var unionGeometry = geometryEngine.union(geometryArr); //modify added feature geometry so that the feature does not overlap other features in IntersectingPolygon var differenceGeometry = geometryEngine.intersect(addedFeature.geometry, unionGeometry); addedFeature.geometry = differenceGeometry; IntersectingPolygon.applyEdits(null, [addedFeature], null); }); });

Hi, I need help on getting polygons based on intersecting polygon in web map using arcgis javascript api. Say there is base polygon A and when the user edit polygon B over the multiple polygon A, the polygon B gets intersected/splited based on polygon A (please see the attached figure). So far I can do inside the base polygon but is there way I can query to obtain the geometry outside of the base polygon Is there any code snippet or sample/template to achieve this task? Here is my snippet: IntersectingPolygon.on("edits-complete", modifyFeature); function modifyFeature(evt) { var queryFeatureWithId = new Query(); queryFeatureWithId.objectIds = [evt.adds[0].objectId]; queryFeatureWithId.outFields = ["*"]; queryFeatureWithId.num = 1; queryFeatureWithId.outSpatialReference = map.spatialReference; queryFeatureWithId.spatialRelationship = Query.SPATIAL_INTERSECTS; queryFeatureWithId.returnGeometry = true; var addedFeature = null; var addedFeatureObjectId = evt.adds[0].objectId; //use the feature's object id to get the feature's geometry IntersectingPolygon.queryFeatures(queryFeatureWithId, function(featureSet){ if(featureSet.features.length == 0) { return; } addedFeature = featureSet.features[0]; var queryOverlappingOuterPolygon = new Query(); queryOverlappingOuterPolygon.geometry = addedFeature.geometry; queryOverlappingOuterPolygon.num = 1; queryOverlappingOuterPolygon.outSpatialReference = map.spatialReference; queryOverlappingOuterPolygon.spatialRelationship = Query.SPATIAL_REL_RELATION; //query overlapping feature on ExistingPolygon ExistingPolygon.queryFeatures(queryOverlappingOuterPolygon, function(overlappingFeatureSet) { if(overlappingFeatureSet.features.length == 0) { return; } var differenceGeometry = geometryEngine.intersect(addedFeature.geometry, overlappingFeatureSet.features[0].geometry); //modify added feature geometry so that the feature resides within the boundary of outer polygon feature addedFeature.geometry = differenceGeometry; IntersectingPolygon.applyEdits(null, [addedFeature], null); var queryOverlappingInnerPolygon = new Query(); queryOverlappingInnerPolygon.geometry = addedFeature.geometry; queryOverlappingInnerPolygon.outSpatialReference = map.spatialReference; queryOverlappingInnerPolygon.spatialReference = Query.SPATIAL_INTERSECTS; }); }); } Thanks, Kush

Hi Ahna, Sorry for late reply. Yeah I got help from geonet. I used geometry engine object to solve this in my arcgis javascript application. You can find the API reference here. esri/geometry/geometryEngine | API Reference | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 3.21 Here is the snippet: function calculateAcreage(value) { var NameString = "<p><b>Field Name:</b> " + value.attributes.Field_Name + '</p>'; var sqft = geometryEngine.geodesicArea(value.geometry, "square-feet"); var squarefeet = number.format(sqft, {places: 1}); var acres = number.format(sqft / 43560, {places: 2}); returnString = NameString + "<p><b>Acres:</b> " + acres + '</p>'; return returnString; }; This result the polygon field shape.area() that is in sq.ft to Acreage value. Hope this helps. Thanks Kush

Thanks for the great insights Cody. Yes it is the DJI sensor called Sentera Single NDVI capable sensor with resolution of 5 cm . I orthomosaic in Agisoft photoscan but I don't think I got the correct output as I expected. The orthomosaicked image has some dark patches and especially shadow portion is giving me high ndvi value when I run from the image analysis toolbar. I will check out with segmentation tools and image enhancement tool if it helps to remove shadow stuffs.

Hi, I need to calculate ndvi from infra-red imagery. I have ortho-mosaicked the imagery and wanted to remove the shadow effect of an object in the pixel that is caused by sun angle. Is there way the steps or procedure to correct shadow from ArcGIS software? Any help is appreciated.

Robert, I activated the toolbar inside the settings variable and checked to see if works since I am using the default editor widget sample for my template. var settings = { map: map, layerInfos: featureLayerInfos, toolbarVisible: true, toolbarOptions: { reshapeVisible: false } }; It displays the toolbar and when I tried using modules and put the snippet you sent in the sample doesn't work for this template (default editor widget). I don't know the issue behind since both the editor widget template and simple editor toolbar are similar to me as I am fairly new to the arcgis javascript world

Thanks for the sending the sample Robert. It works great with the simple toolbar sample. When I tried to put on my template which is using default editing widget, I still see the toolbar visible. I am using editor widget without having template picker and I don't know if it is causing an issue. All I embed was this piece of code including the module ( "dojo/_base/array", "dojo/parser", "dojo/keys", "dojo/query", "dojo/dom-style") : query(".dijit.dijitReset.dijitInline.dijitLeft.dijitComboButton", myEditor.domNode).forEach(function(node){ domStyle.set(node, "display", "none"); }); I tried using this code on esri default editor widget sample ArcGIS API for JavaScript Sandbox ; it seems it is not working.

I need to customize the editor toolbar widget by hiding the list of unwanted tools for me in editor toolbar widget. Is there way I could get this done deactivating and hiding such tools in javascript or css?. It seems like those tools came as default in editor widget. However I was able to remove the display of some tools/buttons in dropdown like delete, AddToSelection, NewSelection, Attributes, ClearSelection. Here is the remaining buttons/tools that I wanted to hide or remove from the widget for my application and only keep undo/redo button. Appreciate for any help. Thanks
