Thanks for your reply James. After a lot of trial & error, since I could find no you tube, ESRI online help, or mention within one of the few ESRI online courses: one sets up either rapid or 2D products to process. In the set up insure that the DTM, DSM, & Contour boxes are checked on - a contour shp file is produced and appears in a new folder within the products folder [the shp file is likely stored in the path specified by James] I couldn't produce contours into an existing products folder; had to process from scratch Ken

I solved my own problem, working with my gis administrator, trial & error. ESRI provides a link to install Drone2Map - someone must set up a free AGO account - the AGO admin must assign the person / desktop w/ the app installed, rights as a publisher - installation of the app from the link provided by esri is two steps: install the app set up folder - run the set up icon from within the set up folder - the app should now appear in the windows start list of programs

I've installed Drone2Map onto my desktop with Arcgis 10.4 basic license. I have an Arcgis Online account where I'm designated Publisher. I can't determine how to launch the dron2map app. I realize it's a stand alone app, not an extension. I've looked everyplace and have only found the installation folder on my C drive. I've tried every tab in my AGO account. Would someone, please, advise me how to launch the app?

I'm still not sure if this reply will post onto the map venue> please forgive my ignorance of how the new geo net format works Abdullah, Thank you for your suggestion. I'd not thought of making it a PNG. A great solution. Since, I got to this point: I thought that someone might be able to show me how to modify the marker symbol to be the size of wavy line I want.

The links, that Ian kindly posted above, helped me solve this challenge. 1. We should only use ArcCatalog, not windows explorer, to move geo referenced files from one folder to another. 2. Tiff images copy easier than JPG images. 3. I just tested to determine that this is the setting to allow the successful copying a geo ref JPG images, as provided in the 2nd of Ian's links: ArcGIS will automatically read the geo referencing in the header information of some file formats, such as GeoTIFF, which will override any geo referencing information stored in a world file. You can change this by checking the Use world file to define the coordinates of the raster check box on the Options dialog box. Click Customize on the Main menu and click ArcMap Options (or ArcCatalog Options, depending on the application you are using). Click the Raster tab in the Options window. Within the Raster tab, click Raster Dataset and check the Use world file to define the coordinates of the raster check box. Click OKThank you, again, Ian,Ken

Ian, Thank you for responding and I apologize for not being clear. I'm trying to copy a geo referenced JPG from one folder to another. I've attempted to use the Add layer button in a basic version of Arc 10.4.1. I'll read the help links now and respond back if they help.

When I attempt to move a simple, small, geo-referenced jpg image from one folder to another, using either ArcCatalog or Windows Explorer, and add the moved jpg to arcmap it fails to depict, giving me the message that it is un projected. I verified that the tiff comes in ok from the folder I initially saved the geo referenced work to and that both supporting .jgwx & .aux files are in the new folder along with the jpg Is it possible to move geo referenced images? Darren, Due to my limited practice doing symbol editing, I really benefited from your tips. It took an hour of practice, but by adding this step to your procedure I came up with this poly boundary that will work I'm very grateful to you for taking the time to help me. This has been an interesting problem. I marked your response as helpful and that I liked it. Thank you very much. Ken

I'd like to depict a number of irregularly-shaped polygons with this boundary symbol. I've searched for this symbol in the avail ArcGIS 10 styles. I've tried creating the symbol in gis and doing a screen capture to save it as a jpg and modifying an existing line symbol via the symbol properties, all unsuccessfully. Can someone tell me where I could find this symbol canned or, if not, some steps to create this symbol.

Rebecca, Thank you so much for commenting. I've not checked the position of the coords provided by the notation tool. 2 meters is a problem for me, so I'll check some of the positions and, if they are off that far, I'll make a note to change them after the bug is fixed, so the coords don't get truncated as much. I appreciate you looking out for me, Ken
