Hello everyone, I share with you a problem that I am having with the display of content in Map Viewer, since last Friday, March 1, 2024 (after last update, February 2024). When trying to view any map in Map Viewer, nothing appears on the screen and I can see the following error when inspecting the console: Uncaught (in promise) e details : "Error\n at a.check (https://foo.maps.arcgis.com/apps/mapviewer/js/app/MapMaker.js:4832:384)\n at t.validate....... message: "WebGL2 is required but not supported." name: "webgl:required" But, if I use Map Viewer Classic, I have no problems, I can view the maps without problems. When checking if my Edge browser has WebGL2 enabled using edge://gpu/ I get: Graphics Feature Status ======================= * Canvas: Hardware accelerated * Canvas out-of-process rasterization: Disabled * Direct Rendering Display Compositor: Disabled * Compositing: Hardware accelerated * Multiple Raster Threads: Enabled * OpenGL: Enabled * Rasterization: Unavailable * Raw Draw: Disabled * Skia Graphite: Disabled * Video Decode: Hardware accelerated * Video Encode: Unavailable * Vulkan: Disabled * WebGL: Hardware accelerated * WebGL2: Hardware accelerated * WebGPU: Hardware accelerated Then when checking online: https://get.webgl.org/ Your browser supports WebGL. https://get.webgl.org/webgl2/ Hmm. While your browser seems to support WebGL2, it is disabled or unavailable. If possible, please ensure that you are running the latest drivers for your video card. Therefore, apparently it is not a software problem, since the browser does support WebGL2. So I suspect the problem is with the video card hardware. I'm working with and old DELL Precision T3500, with NVIDIA Quadro FX 580 (Revision C1, 512 MB) video card. I don't know how to check if this hardware supports WebGL2. Could anyone help me with this problem?

Hi Vince, I've read many of your answers to issues reported by users, but I have not yet been able to solve the two problems I have. Direct Connections from ArcCatalog 10.0 to Oracle 10g R2. Geodatabase Upgrade. I will describe the my situation. I have two servers: SERVER 1 OS: Windows 2008 (64-bit) Oracle RDBMS: 10.2.0.4 (64-bit) Oracle Client: 10.2.0.4 (32-bit) Oracle Client ODAC: 11.2.0.2 (32-bit) Oracle Gateway: 11.2.0.1 (64-bit) ArcGIS Server: 10.0 SP1 (32-bit) ArcSDE: 10.0 SP1 (64-bit) ArcGIS Desktop: 10.0 SP5 (32-bit) Enterprise geodatabases: 3 SERVER 2 OS: Windows 2008 R2 (64-bit) Oracle RDBMS: 10.2.0.5 (64-bit) Oracle Client: 10.2.0.5 (64-bit) ArcGIS Server: 10.0 SP5 (32-bit) ArcSDE: 10.0 SP5 (64-bit) ArcGIS Desktop: 10.0 SP5 (32-bit) Enterprise geodatabases: 2 From the SERVER 1, using ArcCatalog, I can establish direct connections to the 3 local geodatabases and also to the 2 geodatabases on the SERVER 2. I have also been able to upgrade the 3 local geodatabases. But from SERVER 1 I could not update the 2 geodatabases on SERVER 2, since I get the following error: "Connected RDBMS instance is not setup for ST_GEOMETRY configuration. [Unable to determine current version of ST_SHAPELIB The latest ST_GEOMETRY and dependent libraries need to be copied to the correct software location. Please consult ArcSDE for Oracle Installation Guide for further details.]" From the SERVER 2, using ArcCatalog, I can not establish direct connections to any geodatabase, when I try it I get the error: "Failed to connect the specified server. Server library could not be loaded." I think the problems are related to the oracle client installed on SERVER 2, which is 64-bit. If I install a 32-bit oracle client can I solve both problems? Or are they due to different causes? What would be the correct configuration of SERVER 2? Thank you in advance. Regards, Gaston.

Hi Regunathan, I'm facing the same problem you've described. Have you achieved any solution in all this time? I have a lot of raster tiles, with the associated mbtile file, but I can't open them as a layer Arcmap. Any help would be appreciated. Regards.

Hi all, I need to replicate an existing multi-line feature several times (e.g., copy and paste), but not at any random position. The new features should be centered on certain coordinates given by another point feature class. That is, ech new multi-line feature must be centered at each existing point. INPUTS 1 multi-line feature class, with 1 feature 1 point feature class, with > 1000 points OUTPUTS 1 multi-line feature class, with > 1000 features (same number as points), each centered at coordinates given by each point I am using ArcGIS 10.0 SP5. I hope I was clear enough to describe my problem. Any suggestion or solution is welcome, either through scripting or using any geoprocessing tool that I have missed. Thanks in advance. Gastón.

Hi, I need to solve a similar problem, but not only for polygon features but also for line features. Is there any way to implement this useful script in ArcGIS 10.0, which lacks the arcpy.da module (Data Access Module)? Thank you in advance. Regards, Gaston.

David, what you describe is exactly the problem I have to solve. With your recommendations I will try to write a script that performs the trace to the affected meters, and then go upstream to complete the connection diagram table of each one of the meters. On the other hand, and changing the subject, is there any equivalent tool to "Mass Update By Tracing" that can be used in ArcGIS 10.0, which is the version that I'm using right now? Regards, Gaston.

Xander, Thank you very much for your answer and for sharing your script code. Unfortunately I'm using ArcGIS version 10, which does not contains the arcpy.da module, so I will try to adapt the script to make it compatible, some kind of backport, if possible. Kind regards, Gaston.

Is there a tool or script to list all active domains (and field names in each feature where are used) and all unused domains in a workspace?

Hi all, I am no expert in the use of geometric networks and I need help with the following problem. I have defined a geometric network for electricity distribution network in medium and low voltage, with an own (basic) data model. The main feature classes included in the geometric network are Distribution Centers (point), Medium Voltage Feeders (line), Substations (point), Low Voltage Cables (line), Meters (point). Each distribution center have several outputs with medium voltage feeders. Each substation has multiple outputs with low voltage cables, each with its own identifier. I have to simulate outages in some parts of the network, identifying all affected users (meters). This part is simple with "Utility Network Analyst" tools, with which I can select affected items in each feature class. Then, here comes the problem, I must export to a table the “connection diagram” of each meter, i.e. one record per meter affected by the outage with the following attributes: ID meter, ID low voltage cable, ID substation , medium voltage feeder ID, ID distribution center. Each attribute comes from a different feature class and I must build a table with corresponding values that indicate how each meter connects trough the network to each distribution center. I don´t know if the standard tools of "Utility Network Analyst" can do this. Maybe there is a tool that can help me to solve the problem. Or I may need to develop some python script for this? Please, any help is welcome. Thank you very much in advance. Regards, Gaston.

Xander, Thanks for your quick response, it has been very helpful. You're right, I've tried the arcpy method (I could not try arcpy.da because of my version of ArcGIS) and it seems that does not support raster fields. Apparently the most practical solution is to get an ArcGIS version 10.2... I'll keep researching and trying to solve this problem with my current version of software. Otherwise I'll have to switch to a new version. Best regards, Gaston.
