We had the exact same issue with the AGS JSAPI Map where map click was not firing. This was fixed by deleting the affected user's Chrome profile and letting it recreate the profile. Uninstalling and Reinstalling preserves the profile by default. But don't forget to take a backup of Your bookmards settings etc. before deleting the profile. This workaround fixed the issue at almost all of our client's who had this issue. So, You will have to delete and recreate the user profile manually.

This issue actually started for us at Chrome version: 88.0.4324.190. Our identify tool relying on map-click broke at this version. The strangest workaround without having to upgrade to AGS JSAPI 3.3.35 was deleting the Chrome user profile and recreating it in order to make it work.

We have observed the same at our client's place. We had many clients report this issue and so far every client's issue has been resolved by refreshing the Chrome profile for their users. Kind of a strange workaround. But has worked in every case so far. Could not see any difference in the profiles of people for whom it was working v/s the people for whom it was broken. But recreating the broken profiles worked. Strange!

We tried on more thing different from all the suggestions and it appears to work. 1. We took the backup of the bookmarks into an xml for later re-import. (Irrelevant for the solution) 2. Deleted the affected user's Chrome profile (Chrome UI management did not work for some) so we deleted the folder: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data Here the username is the affected user's login name. 3. Re-imported the bookmarks from the previously backed up xml. (Irrelevant for the solution) This seems to fix the issue at least for us on JSAPI 3.3.28.

C.Hetmank, Don't know if you still have this problem. However, it appears like you will have to set up your Apache Tomcat catalina.properties with your company's proxy server information. check the Apache Tomcat help for setting the proxy settings. Thanks, Anand

Ashwini, Thanks for the suggestion. I initially had that issue but that did not fix the problem. On further investigation, what I observed was I had upgraded the website to 1.2.4 and my database was still having system tables from 1.2.2. It looks like there was some schema/data change from 1.2.2 to 1.2.4. Once I update the system tables using the scripts for 1.2.4, it all started working fine again. Thanks and Regards, Anand

Hi, I have configured the geoportal 1.2.4 successfully on our servers within following environment: OS: Linux in production and Windows Server 2008 R2 in development App Server: Apache Tomcat 7 Database: Oracle 11g R2 I have set up the forward proxy information in gpt.xml. Also, I have set up the http.proxyHost, http.proxyPort and http.nonProxyHosts in the catalina.properties The Problem: When I register external rest services resource such as arcgis online sample services it gets created successfully and also synchronizes fine. When I use our on rest services URL that is publicly visible and available to everyone, the test works fine and results in following message: Connection successfully verified. However, if I click on Create, I get the following error: HTTP status code {407 - Proxy Authentication Required} received from server What is surprising is that the map server alias is already added to the http.nonProxyHosts and still it tries to connect through proxy server. But, if I register Esri MS instead of ArcGIS using a mapservice rest url on the same server as the one used for resgistering ArcGIS resource it works fine. Is this a bug or Am I missing something in the proxy configuration? I beleive it could be a problem with the harvester code. Is there a way to work around this problem without changing the code? Update: So we have installed geoportal server, or rather are in the process of eliminating associated errors, and the geoportal service emntioned above was successfully harvested, so like hkendall pointed out it was not an issue with our service. Thanks. Hi Ashwini, What did you have to do to fix this issue. My geoportal server is also behaving similarly. I am unable to harvest ArcGIS Online Services successfully from our geoportal installation. I get Unable to connect to the host. error every time for external map services. Intranet services just work fine. Thanks, Anand
