You are right, there was a typo in the code I wrote. Thanks Noah.

I am trying to learn how to access services using OAuth2 with javascript. I am working on the tutorial on this link Access services with OAuth 2.0 | ArcGIS for Developers. Initially, it allows me to sign in (from the sign in link) and provide my arcgis online credentials. Thereafter, I am getting the error below after I have entered my arcgis online credentials. I followed the steps of creating, registering and providing a redirect uri for the application. I copied the code and changed the portalURL and appid. So I just advice on why I am getting this error

Before I mark as answered, something strange is still happening. this works perfectly. {id: 16, visible: true, title: "Highway"}, {id: 10, visible: true, title: "Sand Dune"}, {id: 8, visible: true, title: "Dams"}, {id: 7, visible: true, title: "Rivers"}, {id: 5, visible: true, title: "DWAF Water Scheme"}, {id: 4, visible: true, title: "Prison"}, {id: 3, visible: true, title: "School"}, {id: 2, visible: true, title: "Police Station"}, {id: 1, visible: true, title: "Health Facility"} But when my code is like this {id: 11, visible: true, title: "Vegetation"}, {id: 10, visible: true, title: "Sand Dune"}, {id: 8, visible: true, title: "Dams"}, {id: 7, visible: true, title: "Rivers"}, {id: 5, visible: true, title: "DWAF Water Scheme"}, {id: 4, visible: true, title: "Prison"}, {id: 3, visible: true, title: "School"}, {id: 2, visible: true, title: "Police Station"}, {id: 1, visible: true, title: "Health Facility"} The same error i received as last time still occurs. Its kind of selective even if it is in descending order.

Robert, you are an arcgis wiz. Thank you, it worked. Could you explain to me why it works in descending order but not in ascending order.

Something really strange is happening and I do not know why. When I create a new MapImageLayer and call for two sublayers whereas the visible value for both sublayers is 'true' I get an error. RAILLAYER = new MapImageLayer({ url: "https://rave1:6443/arcgis/rest/services/RAIL/MapServer", sublayers: [ {id: 0, visible: true, title: "Railway Station"}, {id: 20, visible: true, title: "Railway"} ] }); When there is one visible value as true (the other false), the sublayer displays. RAILLAYER = new MapImageLayer({ url: "https://rave1:6443/arcgis/rest/services/RAIL/MapServer", sublayers: [{id: 0, visible: true, title: "Railway Station"}, {id: 20, visible: false, title: "Railway"} ] }); The weird thing is that I tried using the sample layer from esri http://sampleserver6.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/911CallsHotspot/MapServer and it works perfectly when both sublayers visible value are defined as true. So I just want to figure out what could be the cause of this issue. By the way I am using arcgis javascript 4.10

I created a legend for features on the map in arcgis javascript 4.10. The issue I have is that I can only disable a sublayer's visibility by disabling all the layers within the parent layer on the layerlist. I was wondering is there a way to just disable the visibility of a sublayer without disabling all the sublayers when displaying the legend on a layerlist.

I am creating a website that shows errors of features and errors that have been resolved (fixed). I want to use datareviewer to find this errors. The errors are stored in a MS SQL database. The problem I have is that when errors are fixed, the data reviewer does not automatically remove errors that have been fixed within the database table. I was hoping someone can inform me on whether there is a way to remove errors that have been fixed from the database when datareviewer runs, after the errors have been fixed. The only way I can do so is by removing all records in the database table before datareviewer, but I want to avoid that, because error records that I marked as exceptions will also be removed.

I tried the generalize method but it did not fix the problem I had. The parameters I gave were: generalize = new GeneralizeParameters() generalize.geometries = [pointGraphicSelected.geometry] generalize.deviationUnit = "meters" generalize.maxDeviation = 0.000001

I tried putting the quantize option as false. It works really well with points, but with a polygon there is still a visible geometric error. One other thing, I checked the properties of a feature layer for arcgis javascript 4.10 but quantize is not there. I just wanted to know what is the reason for that.

I am trying to use the view.hitTest function for points, lines and polygons. The selected features look correct at the scale level when a feature was selected, but once I zoom there are visible geometric discrepancies. I had this issue with arcgis javascript 3.27 but someone on geonet suggested I set the autogeneralize as false for the feature layer and it worked. I am now coding with arcgis javascript 4.10 and the method for setting autogeneralize as false is not there (i am assuming it is the same issue) for feature layers. How can I solve this issue.

With ArcGIS Desktop I constantly do transformations due to the fact that I sometimes deal with survey data which uses a coordinate system that is local to South Africa, thus converting it to geographic coordinates of WGS84 is often done. But no worries I studied coordinate system transformation and it was focused on the coordinate systems I want to transform so I'll look through my past lecture notes and just write an algorithm that will do the transformations. Thanks Robert

I am using solely on arcgis javascript. The website that I am designing has to allow people to enter coordinates in Gauss Conform (Transverse Mercator south oriented) coordinate system and convert them to GCS haartebeesthoek 94. So my parameters are as follows: projectParameter = new ProjectParameters() projectParameter.geometries = new Point({x: value, y: value, new spatialReference({wkid:102482})) projectParameter.outSpatialReference = new SpatialReference({"wkid": 4148}) honestly I don't what this two parameters, projectParameter.transformation and projectParameter.transformforward assist with, with regards to the projection.

Yes and I cannot figure out why. I am at a point of manually coding the transformation between the coordinate system.
