I'm referring to this hosted geoprocessing service - Trace Downstream—ArcGIS REST API: Elevation Analysis services | ArcGIS for Developers used in ArcMap.  I have normally accessed this via citrix arcmap, from the arccatalog drawer, ready to use services, and was getting the error messages in the first screenshot.  We had some network issues on our end yesterday, so maybe that was it, but the same data with and without the optional parameters all worked correctly today.   -?- ... Wow, thanks for taking a stab at that!  I'm not at all distracted by swaying branches, we're all tree people in my line of work, which includes swaying branches, eh?  It took me a minute to get the hang of it (lineages pointing upwards, for example) but it totally works for me, once I got over that. I noticed another difference: at state 1871 in your example, the sync replica is showing.  With all these use of  'create local copy of a feature service for editing' we need more ways to keep track of what is happening with versions and replicas.  Thanks again for taking the time to do this! ... Esri, you know that GIS professionals are primarily visual thinkers (or is it the other way 'round?), that's why the state tree diagram (version lineage tree) is such a valuable tool to us. When using this tool for teaching, the real-time feedback to students reinforces their learning process and results in better understanding and data management decision-making.  In day to day data management, the state tree conveys information that the replacement tabular UI format does not.  In a troubleshooting situation, the information in the version lineage is immediately accessed without the need for tabular or in the really old days, commandline access.  The version lineage tree conveys the relationships between the versions that a table cannot do, and is a better way to inform us when data admin action is needed. While we do use and value story maps and other web based applications, where do these feature services come from?  The ironic piece of this user request is that the tool is already available, and has worked in versions beyond 10.0, but we are not allowed to access it without gyrations via workarounds that some are organizationally unable to implement.  This post reiterates our request to Esri to bring back the 'State Tree Diagram for 10.1 and above' via an install that is not a workaround.  Thank you, Clara.   ... Hey yeah, I have posted and answered the question of how I use the GDBT and why I care about the versioning lineage diagram many times and in several places, so I very much understand the sentiment, but the request is all in one place now, and was not before this. Hey thanks Derek Law I know you're onto other things besides ArcSDE, but I checked ArcGIS Ideas (your post above), and found 6 separate threads there related to the versioning state lineage tree diagram, and can't even find (in the new system) my own forum responses to ESRI's question about how we use the GDBT.  I had posted those responses in the past on request. Here's my point: all of our feedback and requests are scattered all over the place, resulting in the appearance that this is coming from a half dozen fringe users.  I was at the noontime meeting at the UC several years ago when the ESRI development panel was very clear that it was not interested in supporting the state tree diagram, and I can tell you there were more than a half dozen people in the room. Can you or someone on the ESRI end with any interest in the GDBT and state tree diagram Asrujit SenGupta​ help us consolidate that feedback into one place so that our request can be viewed as one request and given its fair weight? Hello Rob,  I compared the bookmarks on the two machines yesterday, and sure enough, the PC's bookmark referenced a HTTPS URL and the LT's bookmark referenced a HTTP URL.   Not sure how I managed to do that, but thanks for taking the time to check that out!  I'll pay more attention in the future ... Good morning, I am in the office and brought in the roving LT, so I have both machines in front of me today, on the same network, also I doublechecked and each browser is exactly the same version.  Here is a current status update: I have 3 projects in Geoplanner right now: 1) created from land use planning template from the PC (Jul): open from PC-fail.  open from LT-pass. 2) created (new) from land use planning template from LT: open from PC-fail.  open from LT-pass. 3) created (new) from wildland fire planning template from LT: open from PC-fail. open from LT-pass 4) create new project from existing template: PC fail (had been pass in July), LT pass in case it helps, on the PC, the status bar message never gets to validating feature design service, it goes straight from opening, to error loading.  Thanks Amit and Rob for taking a look. ... hello Amit, I'm using the roving laptop now and the existing project opens right up, with no hesitation or error message. While using the LT I was allowed to create a new project using the same template as the one that does not open on the PC (template for land use planning) and to test further, was able to access and create a new project from the LT using a different template (geoplanner training, wildland fire). Hello Amit, Yes, this is still an issue - I am on the PC now, so I just checked and am still getting the same message - I can open projects from the LT but not from the PC.  I'm using the same global account and browser.  I own the project I'm trying to open, and it does open from the LT.  The project was the sample from the first exercise, template for land use planning. Also, on the same PC, when I attempt to start over, and open any other template, I get the same result from this workflow - Create a new project, select, loading template..., error loading template.  (I tried several templates and got the same result.)
