We are trying to setup a publishing scripts to move all published content from staging to production. There are 7 different types of services people can publish to staging through Pro Hosted - Vector Tile, Feature, Tile and Map image Federated - Feature, Map Image, Image Service With the API I can see 3 covered off by the following sharing_draft = m.getWebLayerSharingDraft("FEDERATED_SERVER", "MAP_IMAGE", service) sharing_draft = m.getWebLayerSharingDraft("HOSTING_SERVER", "FEATURE", service) sharing_draft = m.getWebLayerSharingDraft("HOSTING_SERVER", "TILE", service, lyrs) How do we accomplish the missing four - Federated Feature and Image Service, plus Hosted Vector Tile and Map Image

why does under 1.5 i now get this keyerror for opedrational layers. I'm using the same code and loading in the same webmap json from file. But the dictionary does not contain any operationallayer keys after the json file has been loaded in. what changed at 1.5? for subdir, dirs, files in os.walk(rootdir3): for file in files: #print (os.path.join(subdir, file)) print("processing: " + file) #modify existing web map web_map_json = str() # read a previously downloaded and saved web map json from text file # store each template json file in a seperate folder from the gdb files. Loop through all the templates in each country with open(os.path.join(subdir, file),"r") as file_handle: web_map_json = json.load(file_handle) # publish a new web map setting some attributes and using the json as input # will need a title and snippet for each country to be somewhere in a list web_map_item_properties = {'title':file[:-5], 'type':'Web Map', 'snippet':'This map shows a Template Map', 'tags':'ArcGIS Python API', 'text':json.dumps(web_map_json)} # add to the portal web_map_item = gis.content.add(web_map_item_properties) # create a web map object out of the item web_map_obj = arcgis.mapping.WebMap(web_map_item) layer_list = web_map_obj['operationalLayers'] ***get KeyError for above line

Anyone having issues syncing a AGOL hosted feature service back to a 10.5.1 Portal with copy the data set. We have some layers working and some not. The logs report syn replica failed for the ones that don't. Doesn't seem to be any rhym or reason we have checked: size of data schema size all the hosted settings like sync etc... ESRI have has this call for months and no answer yet. The items just come across as references to AGOL instead of portal hosted feature services

well that was along the right lines. Seems to be a quirk where you need to remove all portal connections. sign in to AGOL then open a pro session and then go back to portals and add your portal in, then you can sign in. 😞 also found a bug in pro 2.1 that needed the latest 2.1.2 patch to fix that so it could sign in to Pro from Portal. fun fun

So what triggers the signin option for a portal to be greyed out. I can add the portal connection in pro, set it as active, test availability, but the signin option is greyed out. Which makes it very hard to use or do anything with the portal from pro Connecting to a 10.5.1 Portal from Pro 2.1

We have a set of hosted feature services that are already nicely symbolized. We have new data in a file geodatabase that needs to be uploaded to replace the previous version. This we can do using the python API and have running well. But our new layer has the default symbology. So we are trying the function below which seems to imply you can replace the Data for an item using an update call. But its very vague as to what the data attribute is looking to accept. We have tried passing in a file gdb, a new service url. update (item_properties=None, data=None, thumbnail=None, metadata=None) Updates an item in a Portal. Note That content can be a file (such as a layer package, geoprocessing package, map package) or it can be a URL (to an ArcGIS Server service, WMS service, or an application). If you are uploading a package or other file, provide a path or URL to the file in the data argument. Only pass in arguments for properties you want to update. All other properties will be left as they are. If you want to update description, then only provide the description argument in item_properties. Any bright ideas on how to achieve this.

Has anyone added there own WOM to geoplanner. I'm finding this. I’ve followed this http://doc.arcgis.com/en/geoplanner/documentation/publish-your-data-as-a-weighted-overlay-service.htm to publish a weighted overlay service. But once in my organisation an item it is not found when I tick on the weighted overlay models option under add data. The following is obtained from debug console It is finding the sample I have loaded but not my own new one. The above help talks about using a tag called weightedOverlayService But this is not in the query below, even when I add in geodesignModelerLayer as a tag is still does not find it. {"query":"(orgid:d8jw3DZdIO51ekgw) AND ((((typekeywords:geodesignModelerLayer) OR (type:\"Web Map\" AND typekeywords:\"Modeler\"))) -typekeywords:geodesignProjectFeatureService -tags:geodesignTemplateFeatureService)","total":1,"start":1,"num":30,"nextStart":-1,"results":[{"id":"02988920dc484df3a27483979f94890c","owner":"afoxi_911","created":1504509592000,"modified":1504764953000,"guid":null,"name":null,"title":"world ecophysiographic suitability","type":"Image Service","typeKeywords":["ArcGIS Server","Data","geodesignModelerLayer","geodesignProjectID3164a8a0a3d245c1a84e5bd65a4175ff","Image Service","Service"],"description":null,"tags":["weightedOverlayModel","geodesign"],"snippet":null,"thumbnail":"thumbnail/ago_downloaded.gif","documentation":null,"extent":[],"categories":[],"spatialReference":null,"accessInformation":null,"licenseInfo":null,"culture":"en-us","properties":null,"url":"https://utility.arcgis.com/usrsvcs/servers/24b7c7752170431a95719323a9e71a5e/rest/services/WRO_World_Ecophysiographic_Data/ImageServer","proxyFilter":null,"access":"shared","size":-1,"appCategories":[],"industries":[],"languages":[],"largeThumbnail":null,"banner":null,"screenshots":[],"listed":false,"numComments":0,"numRatings":0,"avgRating":0,"numViews":3}]} What am I missing to get my WRO image service discoverable?

I have a model that is populating an sde layer with its results. Instead of the feature layer being the output parameter i want to get the underlying table of data into a gprecordset so i can display these as results. can someone point me in the direction to accomplish this.
