Sorry, I didnt realize Model Builder was located in multiple areas. I thought it was specifically ArcMap. When I went to Add Discussion it didnt give me the option to add it to a specific space.

When I try to add a Select Data and cannot choose anything because the count field is not there yet. How can I accomplish this?

am wondering how you would iterate the DateDiff expression. I basically want to look at the first row and select all records within a given paramater of days. So for instance row 1 would have 01/01/14 and I want to iterate through all records and select anything within for instance 31 days. It might help to explain what I am doing. Once I get a selection of all the dates within 31 days of the selected row I am going to buffer the original row and count how many records within 31 days fall within the buffer. If there are 3 or more it will create a new feature class buffer with those records. If there are not 3 or more it skips to the next record and continues until it makes it through all the records.

Hello all, I am new to python and am trying to switch away from VBA which I had only used in excel. I have a program in excel that basically does hot spot analysis, but am trying to convert the exact same process into ArcGIS. What I am trying to do is look at record 1 "date_occur" field and calculate the difference in days from record 2. Eventually this will be a loop and data will be written and deleted, but want to start off by learning the basics first.
