I think I need to wait until we are up to 11.5 to revisit and test - then to document our processes, as it looks like this is purely down to our old version - I have just tested in 10.9 (OK, so still old, but it was the first version with 'new' viewer) and that seemed to honour the changed popup - at least in a web map - so I assume it will do so in a full Web App Thanks all - I had indeed missed something!

This is what I see in AGOL that has a map that is linking direct to our Portal Map Image Service - I don't see those options but is that because our Portal is still 10.81.?

Ah, interesting, it may be that we are a bit backward here and still using the classic viewer - at least until August when we finally move from 10.8 - so I may have not got up to speed - I'll take a deeper look. Thanks

It's not even schema changes - those are few and far between - it could be something simple as a discovered typo or a web link that needs up dating. As we know editing the JSON is a way, surely there could be a button to enable this to be done by the system - it ain't hard really.

OK- When you publish a service from Pro you get; That would imply to me that you can control all popups that may reference the service you have just published from Pro. but, no - Overwrite a web feature layer—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation states: "Web maps store pop-ups and symbology separately from web layers. Pop-ups stored in the web map will not be updated if the web layer is overwritten with a newly configured pop-up. If the schema of a web layer changes, you may need to reconfigure the web map's pop-ups and symbology." So what is the point? It appears the only way to updated popups to appear on webmaps and applications based on these is to remove the originating map service and re-add. Our work AI tells me we can zap the JSON of the webmaps and apps to reset to the initial, but have I missed the big red button that says "update popups from source" ? We were thinking of moving a lot of our external apps to be in AGOL, but with the added overhead of updating the services several times (Portal Web map, then re-add that web map to AGOL, force apps to recognize new popups) we may have to rethink this. Or am I totally wrong? IS there some magic I've missed? Cheers ACM

THis is confusing me and I am not sure if the answer above is totally correct, or I am not understanding it. This is what I have seen; I created a 'raw' map service in my Portal - no formatting of popups linked that into AGOL for public consumption - popups were, of course the raw versions - no configuration Edited Project in Pro to tart up the popups. REpublished - got normal Pro warning that web popups would be over-wrtiten - good I thought, that is what I want New popups are all happy in our Portal New popups totally ignored in AGOL Add the Map service again to AGOL - new popups work So is this all behaviour as designed? Given that there is still 3.x stuff around it is really rubbish that Esri have removed all documentation prior to the new 5.x - even if we all had time to migrate NOW, we'd still need easy access to the old documentation to see how things work in older versions. Please reconsider

Hi I've been looking at Print Dynamic Text from a Web Application but it is geared for old Web Apps, so not sure if it will work with Experience Builder. Plus it isn't quite what I want. I have added a dynamic text widget and a filter to my project in ExpBuilder. So I end up with one feature selected and the dynamic text box has some of the attribute fields plus other text added. Is the way above the best way to get these data onto a print template? I have had some success with simply creating a layout file, dragging it into Portal and using that - I had to have the actual layer in it, but with a null style, so only the selected one showed in the print out - but that all seemed a bit clunky Cheers ACM

Hi in ......\framework\runtime\ds\bin\ the openssl.exe file is v1.1.1s which went End of Life in September 2023 therefore flagged as a high risk by our scans. I logged a call with Esri(UK) about this about this, but just got redirected to the Esri Security site. Has anyone else had this issue? What are peoples' thoughts about simply replacing it with the version that ships with 11.3 (openssl version 3.0.13) Cheers ACM
