Any update on getting the re-index to run successfully by anyone? I also have a 10.5.1 HA Portal setup, and have been trying to get the WebGISDR to run (because after a month we are already getting the walarchive file growth issue), but WebGISDR tool is erroring out. We have a ticket open and one of the items we are checking is if the Index is in sync, which it's not just like everyone else in this thread. Ours is more out of sync and I can't get the numbers to change. Index Status Type Count in store Count in index users 64 64 groups 327 327 search 7522 45 Going to try the workflow of stopping the standby portal services (can't do a shutdown on the VM), but I'm wondering if anyone is also then not able to run the webgisdr tool because of the index mismatch? This is a problem since Portal will self corrupt with those walarchive files growing. We are planning on upgrading to 10.6.1 shortly after we run the upgrade through our dev portal, but I know the walarchive issue is not fixed, and it sounds like this index mismatch is also not fixed. Starting to consider disabling HA and put the Portal content directory back on the local machine to see if that resolves the index issue.

Just an update, we resolved this, apparently the Portal upgrade process didn't complete so had to manually initiate the rest of it.

I think you have to install the SSL certificate on the server and bind it to port 443 before you can run it in 10.5. I think at 10.5 Portal you can only go through 443 and not 80.

Did you add the PI Integrated machine as a Trusted Server and also import it's SSL cert into both GeoEvent and Portal? What type of acct (built-in or IWA) are you trying to publish to portal with? We found that you have to grant the account publishing from PI Integrator an Administrator Role in Portal.

Did you get this resolved? We are also planning a full HA Prod 10.4.1 --> 10.5.1 upgrade, and in prep I just attempted to upgrade a 10.5 Portal (small test site) to 10.5.1 following the directions here Upgrade ArcGIS Server—Installation Guides (10.5) | ArcGIS Enterprise . After I ran the 10.5.1 Portal setup.exe, it says I no longer have a site and in the log files these error messages: "The process monitor did not find the connection to the configuration store. The site may not have been initialized. After the site is initialized, the check for database processes will be reattempted." and "com.esri.arcgis.portal.admin.core.SiteNotInitializedException: The portal site has not been initialized. Please create a new site and try again." over and over again We have the config store local on the machine, on the same drive that portal is installed on (E: - as C: is reserved for OS only per our standard Enterprise VM images).

Did anyone figure out a resolution to this? I just setup a 10.4.1 test environment, and decided to federate the ArcGIS Server that has GeoEvent ext on it (to try to fix authentication issues through PI Integrator). I get the same issue as the OP. Because GeoEvent manager runs on port 6143, Portal won't let you get to it.

I'm having the same issue with endless "Illegal group reference" errors in the ArcGIS Server logs. These are fresh installs and the illegal group reference errors are for all the services in the System server. I have 3 machines in the Site and default cluster, and the error shows up on machines 2 and 3. The arcgisserver directory is on machine 1, and I've eliminated the $ from any directory share I've been trying to use as the config store and data store. (Originally had those directories on a NAS, but NAS shares have $ built in), but removed and recreated the Site to use a local SAN shared drive to test this out. This is happening consistently on different 10.3.1 ArcGIS Serve Sites I've been installing.

I admin AGS 9.3.1 SP1 cached map services that many apps consume. There is a silverlight web viewer (AGS 10SP1) that is hitting the REST endpoints of my services, it's the only app using REST. I'm constantly seeing this error in my restlogs for each of the map services: Log Entry : 3/4/2011 10:27:20 AM ERROR:The path is not of a legal form. :: at System.IO.Path.NormalizePathFast(String path, Boolean fullCheck) at System.IO.Path.NormalizePath(String path, Boolean fullCheck) at System.IO.Path.GetFullPathInternal(String path) at System.IO.Path.GetFullPath(String path) at System.Net.WebClient.GetUri(String path) at System.Net.WebClient.DownloadData(String address) at ESRI.ArcGIS.REST.MapServer.TileResponse.GetBlankTile() at ESRI.ArcGIS.REST.MapServer.TileResponse.WriteResponse() at ESRI.ArcGIS.REST.ResponseFormatter.WriteFormattedResponse() at ESRI.ArcGIS.REST.RequestHandler.ProcessRequest() at ESRI.ArcGIS.REST.RestHttpHandler.System.Web.IHttpHandler.ProcessRequest(HttpContext context) http://xxx.xxx.zzz/ArcGIS/rest/services/imagery/MapServer/tile/11/9465/8239 ------------------------------- What could be causing this? What could be tweaked in the silverlight viewer to stop causing these errors? Thanks!
