I found this can happen when the input tcp-text-in service has not yet been started in GeoEvent Manager. I sometimes will check to see if the port is listening in a command prompt using the command netstat -na | find "5565" or "LIST"

Allow the webmap viewer application to edit the symbology in the legend tab. It may be easier to see the current symbol being used and would be nice to have a button to change the symbol instead of going back to the content tab. Especially if you have several layers.

Sorry I do not have a way to convert the .xml to .rlt files. Currently you would need to right click on new results you wanted to save and "save as" to a location on your hard drive. Then later you could add this hard drive location in your folder connections. You could then open the Geoprocessing Results and drag the rlt file to the shared area of the Geoprocessing Results. You can also double click the file and after a few seconds it would appear under your shared are of the Geoprocessing Results.

Hi Team, You can save individual results as an rlt file and drag them back into the shared results section in a new ArcMap session. Maybe having this saved into a default location like requested in this idea under ideas.arcgis.com. If more folks like this idea and add comments maybe this could be implemented. In the case of using a Personal Geodatabase, I would first recommend a File Geodatabase for size and performance. In either case you can pull in your feature class with the blob field and edit the features, click on the image column and select load to pull in the specific image you want. You can use this detailed instructions for Updating attributes of type raster at ArcGIS Desktop Steps: Add to ArcMap a feature class containing a raster field. Click the Editor Toolbar button on the Standard toolbar. Click the Editor menu on the Editor toolbar and click Start Editing. Click the Edit tool on the Editor toolbar and click the feature. Click the Attributes button on the Editor toolbar. Click the attribute field containing the rasters. Click the drop-down arrow and click Load. Click the Input Raster Dataset browse button and navigate to the location of the raster dataset. Click Add.The dialog will close if the raster field is unmanaged and the image will be displayed in the Attributes window. If the raster field you created is managed, you can choose a compression method and value, then click OK.Since the raster dataset is being ingested into the geodatabase (because it is managed) it will be stored using this compression method. Once the raster is loaded as an attribute, you can view and perform other edits on it. Click the drop-down arrow for the raster field select one of the options in the menu. Click View to open the raster in a larger window. Click Load to load a different image as the raster attribute. Click Clear to delete the raster attribute. Click Save As to export the raster. Click Properties to view and edit the properties of the raster. When you are done, close the Attributes window. Click the Editor menu on the Editor toolbar and click Stop Editing. You can also edit the raster attribute from within the attribute table. You need to be in a edit session. Click the raster drop-down arrow in the row you want to modify, right-click in the window that appears, then click Load.

Storing imagery in the database was often done using the raster dataset. This process would take the pixel values from you original image and store them in the database with keys for faster access. Then it would create pyramids (reduced resolution views) of the data to quickly show the data when zoomed out. The access to the data is fast once the process of converting the imagery and creating the pyramids is complete. Many folks have gone to using the imagery directly like in the Mosaic datasets, which points to the existing data and creates overviews (for quick display when zoomed out) in the database. This makes the process of updating imagery much quicker since only the overviews need to be rebuild. If you serve out the imagery in ArcGIS for Server and use Mosaic Datasets you would need to purchase the Image Extension for ArcGIS for Server. You could also use ArcGIS Server by adding the imagery to a map and creating a map service or right clicking on the imagery to create an image service. These services could then be cached (Pre-rendered Tiles stored). It does not need an extension if the Mosaic Dataset is not used, but the Mosaic dataset is very helpful when working with Raster Data. ArcMap is a 32-bit application and you need to install the 32-bit version of Oracle client drivers like Oracle Instant client. Then you need to add both the 64-bit and 32-bit oracle clients in your system path. 64-bit path first and followed by the 32-bit Oracle bin in the path. You need to re-start ArcMap before attempting to connect so it can pick up the updated path variable. The error you are getting says it can not find your netservice name in the tnsnames.ora file which should be located in the path you specified in the system TNS_ADMIN variable. The name you specify for the for the Instance in the Oracle Database Connection dialog (should be db32) needs to match a Net Service Name in your tnsnames.ora file found in the TNS_ADMIN path. db32 = (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = server1.domain1.edu)(PORT = 1521)) I can work with you on this in a meeting.
