Hi Aaron, We only support type integrated mesh or 3d object for 3D tiles data. https://developers.arcgis.com/net/api-reference/api/netwin/Esri.ArcGISRuntime/Esri.ArcGISRuntime.Mapping.Ogc3DTilesLayer.html thanks, Andrew

Hi Roland, Are you able to share the web layer or source dataset so we can debug further on our end? thanks, Andrew

Hi, Glad that simplifies the workflow! There's always multiple ways to do something in GIS but this appeared more streamlined for your case. And yes those are the two options. If you need access to attributes for editing you'll need the associated feature layer but if you just want to visualize the data you can create the slpk using the geoprocessing tool. thanks, Andrew

Hi, One possible workflow you can use 1. Extrude polygon features https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/layer-properties/extrude-features-to-3d-symbology.htm 2. Export the extruded polygons as a multipatch feature class using Layer 3D To Feature Class tool https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/3d-analyst/layer-3d-to-feature-class.htm 3. Share the multipatch feature class as a web scene layer to your portal https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/sharing/overview/web-scene-layer.htm thanks, Andrew

Hi, This topic describes the capabilities of a scene layer with an associated feature layer https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/layer-properties/what-is-a-scene-layer-with-associated-feature-layer-.htm This can be done using the Share as web scene layer workflow or share as web scene workflow https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/sharing/overview/web-scene-layer.htm thanks, Andrew

Hi Matthew, Can you confirm which version of ArcGIS Reality you used to generate this 3D tiles dataset? Content.URL is not compliant with the 3D Tiles specification so i'm glad you were able to use the Cesium tools to resolve the problem. thanks, Andrew

Hi, You can use the Clip geoprocessing tool to permanently clip the mesh or you can add the mesh to a new local or global scene and then import the modifications from the original mesh and share that scene as a web scene. thanks, Andrew

Hi, I noticed in the first screenshot the ground elevation is not present so maybe it could be the mesh is displaying under the elevation surface when you view it in the Scene Viewer? You can turn off the ground layer to see if that's the issue. In the layer manager click the 'show in layers' button and then on the right side of the app turn off the layer In the last screenshot i can see the ground is missing completely. I believe you may have clicked the Open in ArcGIS Pro button which there is a known issue that it doesn't create the 3d scene properly in ArcGIS Pro. To add the scene service into ArcGIS Pro you should create a new local or global scene and then add the service to the current scene through the Catalog Pane or Add Data dialog. thanks, Andrew

Hi, Yes correct, ArcGIS Pro cannot currently support Google 3D Tiles as it would violate their terms. That is one of the sections that applies as well as a few others. It should only be used purely for visualization purposes. thanks, Andrew

Hi, Only custom apps built on ArcGIS Maps SDKs such as the ArcGIS Maps SDK for Javascript support adding this type of 3D Tiles service. ArcGIS applications such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Earth, or Scene Viewer include advanced capabilities such as interactive 3D analysis that are not currently permitted by Google. Since the Google terms of use do not permit these capabilities it is the responsibility of the user to only view this service in applications that can only offer visualization capabilities. The following terms list out all the various restrictions Google Maps Platform Terms Of Service | Google Cloud thanks, Andrew

@AlexKazemi I don't work with rasters too much but I think you may be able to use the Multipatch to Raster tool to get the output you are looking for. I just tried that on my end and it appears to handle the case with multiple towers scenario

Hi, A scene service needs to have an associated feature service in order to access an attribute table. As a cached dataset, attribute information is only available via pop-ups if the scene service was published from an slpk which is what it looks like in this case. For more info see https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/layer-properties/what-is-a-scene-layer-.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_B4542AFDABF2402B8B9BCA83EC74426D Regarding DEMs, A DEM is a continuous surface that does not include surface items such as buildings or vegetation just the bare earth only. I think you are looking for a DSM (Digital Surface Model) which currently there is no tool to convert a 3D object scene layer into a continuous surface as a DSM. If you had the original multipatch feature class you may be able to use one of the Raster tools such as Feature to Raster. thanks, Andrew

@berttemme thanks for submitting this idea. This is expected behavior as the data is a 3D object being rendered as an integrated mesh. Integrated mesh layers either represent the ground surface or supersede the ground surface when being rendered. I'm going to change this to In product plan as the team is currently working on adding support for the 3D Object 3D Tiles layer and once that is implemented you will achieve the behavior you are looking for. This is planned for the near term and I will circle back and provide updates as I have them. thanks, Andrew
