To clarify, if you create collection with "including children", as below, any new service will be automatically added this to collection with no label. If you still need "no label" collection, here is one way:

@LanceKirby2 Thank you for attending our session. As mentioned, we are working an analysis import feature (Q3 2024). In the meantime, we’ll write a blog, including a script how to import. But if don’t want to wait and are willing to follow these “unsupported” steps, here is how: Ensure you are on 2023.3 release Back up PostgreSQL database (or at the minimum Analysis table) Create new collection named "Prod". If you want to use it for a different collection name, you’d need to globally replace “Prod” text to match your collection name. Create new analysis with any name (that matches your collection name, e.g. “Prod”. ) Edit Analysis table as follows View/Edid Data using PG Admin Navigate to your analysis name row, e.g. “Prod” Replace the content of the configuration cell with the attached json file Save

Thank you for pointing this out. I corrected the article. Note, we are making several changes and are working on documenting and offering fully support Rest API in later releases. We'll announce when it's ready.

If you have a case that labels are lost for ArcGIS Server services, please check if this is for a given folder (s). We have observed a few case that calls to ArcGIS Server admin API to list services in a given folder sometimes don't return expected response or time out. In the current release, ArcGIS Monitor would see it as deleted folder services and effectively unregister those services. These services would be re-registered the next time the folder info is collected successfully, and the proper response returned. This would explain why labels "disappear". Because this would be a brand-new registration and naturally it would not have original labels. We'll add extra logging to capture this case better and considering other improvements, e.g. retries. But this might not address the cases where the ArcGIS Server admin API does not return expected response repeatedly. So, if you have this case, you may want to verify it using admin api and check logs for the underlying issue. If you determine this is ArcGIS Server related, you may want to contact Esri Tech support to triage this case. In the meantime, I would be very much interested to learn the workflows these labels support and potentially offer viable alternatives.

Note, the Server configuration Settings are related to user https calls to the server, not the agents that sent request to the monitored components. You should consider increasing the cluster size if there are many concurrent users connecting to the server, regardless of how big or small is your monitored environment. If the primary users are a handful of admins, the default should be sufficient. However, if we expose ArcGIS Monitor to a large number of concurrent users, e.g. we shared several analyses with a large group, and these users experience degraded performance, you should consider increasing the cluster size and potentially increase machine CPU resources. You might also need to increase PostgreSQL resources, e.g. CPU cores and shared_buffers, see https://www.postgresql.org/docs/9.1/runtime-config-resource.html This cluster size

There is a known performance issue in analysis when using metric name and repeated refresh calls in 2023.2 and older. These issues are fixed in 2023.3.1 patch to be released on January 30. Please install it and hopefully it will address your performance / PostgreSQL high CPU. In the meantime, you can kill long running sessions using PG Admin and not use "offending" analysis until a fix.

To clarify, ArcGIS Monitor admins don’t need to run manually the above maintenance. The autovacume and autoanalyze are sufficient. You can check with the following sql: select relname,last_autovacuum, last_autoanalyze from pg_stat_user_tables where last_autoanalyze is not null In some cases, these default jobs might be interrupted (e.g. locks, see below) or not running. In that case, a manual analyze (as above or using PGAdmin UI) might be required. Keep in mind, it will place a lock and interfere with data collections while it’s executing. For more information , see documentation. https://www.postgresql.org/docs/current/routine-vacuuming.html#AUTOVACUUM For many installations, it is sufficient to let vacuuming be performed by the autovacuum daemon, which is described in Section 25.1.6. Autovacuum workers generally don't block other commands. If a process attempts to acquire a lock that conflicts with the SHARE UPDATE EXCLUSIVE lock held by autovacuum, lock acquisition will interrupt the autovacuum. Warning Regularly running commands that acquire locks conflicting with a SHARE UPDATE EXCLUSIVE lock (e.g., ANALYZE) can effectively prevent autovacuums from ever completing.
