@DebapriyaPaul Thank you so much for this suggestion! I think this may have fixed the issue. I was aware of the master setting for the organization, but did not know there was a secondary setting in the user preferences. Ours was set to map viewer classic in the general settings, even though the master setting for the entire organization was set to the new map viewer. I am assuming I will have to contact all the organization users to make this change, or is there a way to force that as account admin? Thanks Dan

Hi Peter, Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it in multiple browsers and incognito mode on different computers and it does not resolve the issue.

Thanks for the reply Cody. Where are you seeing that console? Is that something in your browser developer options, or is that a part of arcgis.com?

Hello, I changed the Primary map viewer to Map Viewer instead of Map Viewer Classic several months ago (as account admin). The problem is all maps for all users still default to "Open in Map Viewer Classic". This is causing major problems with many users. How do I fix this? It affects both old and newly created maps. I have tried turning on map viewer classic, and then turning it back off again for the organization but it didn't fix this issue. Any ideas?

I believe I was able to fix this error by opening the Stormwater Asset Collector in Map Viewer Classic, saving it, then opening it back in the new Map Viewer .

I just deployed V 3.1 of the stormwater data management solution to my ArcGIS online account. When I attempt to open the Stormwater Asset Collector map, I get a red error pop-up, "Error Expected major version to be a number but got " . The asset collector map is blank. The other maps in the solution appear to be fine. I tried this multiple times on two different Arc GIS organizational accounts, and had the same error message. Is anyone else seeing this, or know of a workaround?

Thanks for the feedback. The JSON capabilities is only set to "query". Although further down "allowgeometryupdates" is set to True. But I dont know how that is possible. To eliminate the admin role override, I was able to edit the hosted feature layer view with editing disabled using a member of the outside organization that was in the shared group, that was only assigned the role of "user".

I noticed something very alarming in ArcGIS Pro 3.4. I have a hosted feature layer in ArcGIS online, from which I created a view layer, and then shared the view layer to a group with an outside organization. The original hosted feature layer and the view layer have all editing disabled. When someone in the outside organization adds the hosted view layer to ArcGIS Pro, then can edit, delete, and save the data. Edits make their way back to the original hosted feature layer. Again, all editing has been disabled. Did I miss something incredibly basic here, or is this a critical bug that needs a fix? Any help would be appreciated.

One thing i noticed, is that when you publish a new install of the water solution to arcgis online, the master water distribution feature layer has editing turned off by default, yet the hosted feature layers have editing turned on. I thought this was the source of the problem, but it still persists. I may have time to contact support today.

HELP! I posted this same question in the Field maps community section, but I think it might be more related to the water distribution data management solution. I setup the ESRI water distribution solution, hosted on ArcGIS Online. I then used the asset collector map it gives you with the Field Maps app to collect some GPS data for fire hydrants and valves. When I submit the features, it looks like they save with no error codes. The points show up on the map in your current session, but they do not show up in the hosted feature service in ArcGIS Online. Once I close the Field Maps App (ios and android versions), the points I just collected have vanished. One other odd thing, after I "submit" a new feature in the Field maps app, is shows that it gave it a "negative" object id number. It starts at OID -10, then -11, -12 and so on. Any ideas what is going on here? I have been using Collector and Field maps for several years, and never experienced anything like this behavior. I am using the latest version 2.0 of the water distribution solution. thanks Dan
