Hello everyone, We have a python script that is connecting to our ArcIGS online to update some content. We need to run this script from one of our Dev servers which doesn't have internet access. Instead we have a layer 7 (a forward proxy) in place which works as the following If the python script is sending request like this https://www.arcgis.com/sharing/rest/generateToken We will have a crosseponding layer7 URL to this domain layer7.com/arcgisonline/* => www.arcgis.com/* layer7.com/organizationName/* => www.organizationName.arcgis.com/* But the problem, as you know we don't manage the requests ArcGIS python api is making. So, I tried to create a proxy server using python. which intercept the requests sent by the arcgis python script, in a try to modify the sent requests But no luck till now. As When I debug the proxy server, I find the request is empty and the arcgis python script returns with error while I'm still debuging the proxy server script. Any thoughts about this, or is there is a way I can tell pthon script api to use a layer7 URL whenever it sends requests to a specific domain

Thanks so much @DavidPike and @George_Thompson for your response. This main problem is that I was looking for the Editing options in the setting tap on Portal and also the "Create view layer" and couldn't find them. And that is why I thought editing not enables. But after checking the link @George_Thompson provided I found that those options won't be shown if the data source is a user managed DB. But the feature layer is published and has whatever capabilities selected while publishing the service. Thanks agian!

Great, I can see the capabilities now......but the question is why I'm not able to see that this feature layer is editable in Portal in the setting section, also when I show the layer on the map, I can see the edit option but it says "Feature creation is disabled for all layers" Do you have any suggestion ?

Thanks @DavidPike for your response. The DB connection has does those privileges. I published the service with feature access capabilitiess. It is even shown on the manager that Feature access is enabled as shown in the attached picture.

Hello, We have a federated ArcGIS server 10.7. After registering a user managed DB (Oracle) and publishing a feature service we found that (Edit-Update-Delete) are not listed under operation allowed section in ArcGIS Server as shown in the attached picture. - We tried publishing this feature service directly to Portal and also tried doing so though ArcGIS server and we are Getting the same behaviour in both. I would appreciate any suggestions about this. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, @ChristopherPawlyszyn for your response. I just have a question about the second violation you mentioned. It is mentioned as a note in the reference you provided that : "If you do not use ArcGIS Web Adaptor, ensure that the load balancer context name is only one level deep. For example, you can have a load balancer URL such as https://lb.domain.com/enterprise, but you cannot have a load balancer URL such as https://lb.domain.com/myorg/enterprise" I believe this only applies if we don't use a web adaptor, and we do use it. So there should be a way for doing so through the web adaptor, is this correct? Thanks in advance.

We are using iis (ARR module) for the reverse proxy. Everything works perfectly without /external The first inbound rule we used: whenever a URL matches this regular expression "external/portal/(.*)" It will redirect the request to a server farm after overwriting this part with "/portal/{R:1}" With this rule, I was able to hit portal but there were some 404 errors. That is why I had to set two more inbound rules. I wonder if there is another way for handling such scenarios other than these rules.

Thanks so much, @RyanUthoff for your response. I actually forgot to mention that I also set the web context URL but this didn't fix the issue. Just FYI, I got it working now by sitting three inbound rules on IIS. I hope someone has a simpler way of fixing this issue. Thanks again.

Hello, We have set up ArcGIS Portal and configured a web adaptor, Everything works fine in the local environment. We need to access it through a DMZ. We have setup a reverse proxy on IIS, Everything works fine whenever we try to access the Portal through a URL like this https://reverseproxy.domain.com/portal/home. But as a company policy, everything public should have "/external" added to the URL So the URL should be https://reverseproxy.domain.com/external/portal/home. I set a rule to exclude the "/external" part from the URL but I get a 404 error for a URL like this https://reverseproxy.domain.com/external/sharing/rest It seems that some requests are sent without adding the "/portal" part of the URL. Any ideas please about this? Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone, We have a cached map service, whenever I try to add it to the map using ArcGIS JS API v 3.x "ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer" it works fine. But whenever I try to add it to the map, using ArcGIS JS API v 4.x "TileLayer" I get this error "Access to fetch at 'Service URL' from origin 'null' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. If an opaque response serves your needs, set the request's mode to 'no-cors' to fetch the resource with CORS disabled." Could anyone please assist me with that. Thanks in advance. Kind regards, Abdelrahman.
