Just adding to the discussion here and a bit late to the game, but printing is the number one feature my app users want. I too was testing experience builder and was liking the look of it, then found out there is no print widget. And it's not just my users that want print functionality, for the viewers of the very popular interactive swiss topo maps, one out of every nine visitors used the print feature!

1. What are all of you using for your authoritative Ohio school building/location data? I found this - State Wide School Facilities which is a point layer served by OIT with no author or contact metadata. It looks like it includes some official information in the attribute fields, but it also includes closed schools and no status field to determine if the location is active/open. Also, the point locations are a mix of street address locations and building locations, neither of which match the LBRS addresses. ODE does not seem to have anything on their site. Then I found this - School Locations from the National Center for Education Statistics This is a lot closer to what I am looking for. These of course do not match the LBRS or the OIT locations...and by the name "EDGE_GEOCODE_..." it would seem these are geocoded. I truly hate the idea of recreating a dataset that may already exist, but alas. I only have like five buildings to map, but it's the principle of it. 2. So, second question. If I were to recreate this, should I use the building centroid, LBRS point, or just whatever I want?

When I query an AGOL Feature Service with a projection not in WGS84 (NAD 83 in this instance) as GeoJSON, has the resulting file been transformed to WGS84, or are the coordinates simply representing the original file projection just in decimal degrees? "spatialReference": { "wkid": 102723, "latestWkid": 3735 } Same question goes for when this file is added to an AGOL map (WGS84). In this instance I believe the file is transformed to WGS84 with the default transformation from the map when it was uploaded. Is this correct?

I need to add a related table for field inspections to a layer that has already been uploaded to AGOL with editing privileges. My thought is to do the following process. I wonder if someone could give advise if any of this would break things on the feature service in some way. Turn off editing on the feature service temporarily. Download the entire feature service as a FGDB (~10 layers) Re-source the ArcGIS Pro map that was the origin of the service definition to this newly downloaded FGDB. Create the relationship class and table in the extracted database and add the table to the map. Replace the feature service as I would normally using "Share -> Overwrite Web Layer", but with the re-sourced data - note that the layers in the FGDB have different names than the original FGDB, so that gives me pause... I also wonder about GlobalIDs and if they will stay the same when I download/upload the feature service. I will use a "FACILITYID" for the relationship class, but still... Everything works as expected and I can now create field inspections in Collector with the updated feature service. It would be even better if I could do this in place some how, but I am not sure if that is possible...

Using Collector in iOS. I have a similar issue, but in one feature layer the data is being collected, so I know the feature is working with our unit. This layer was created from the default GPS collection layer by Esri. In another layer I added the appropriate fields, but the GPS data is not being added. I even removed them and added them again in AGOL per these instructions - Record GPS metadata—Collector for ArcGIS (Classic) | ArcGIS but that didn't help. Any ideas?

Wow great explanation. So am I right in understanding that given your explanation, it will NEVER be possible to use the metadata from an external GPS on iOS in a true web application (say using Google Chrome or Safari) using the HTML5 GeoLocation API? If so this eliminates the idea of using external GPS units with a Progressive Web App on iOS, if these have to be first whitelisted, assuming they can be whitelisted at all - I realize this is not an Esri issue, but still interesting nonetheless.

I am not a developer, but this is my understanding of how this is all working. It has to do partially with iOS being a more locked down ecosystem, the way it handles external BT devices, and the specific application you are using. In Android, when using mock location, the entire GPS is handed off to the external device giving you access to accuracy and other information, however it does not appear that iOS handles BT GPS in the same way. It hands off the location but not much else. There is also the difference between Collector (written using Trimble SDK) and web applications such as QuickCapture and Survey123 that do not rely on the SDK but rather native GPS support. It is this native GPS support that is missing the metadata I believe. This is where the new firmware comes into play, which I think is supposed to allow this metadata to pass through to all applications in iOS, not just ones built using the Trimble SDK. I was trying to use the R2 in a custom web application using the HTML5 geolocation API and ran into this issue, as the location would come through but not the accuracy, making it much harder to use this custom app in iOS. This is the same issue for the Emlid Reach receivers. Any developers on here please correct or clarify.

I foolishly attempted to add a layer to my service, no knowing that the feature service #s are based on layer order, which of course changed when I added a layer. Thus the feature services were not corrupted, they were pointing to the wrong layer. This does not really answer why the service upload failed, but now I know something I didnt before.

Is there anything special that needs setup on the R1/R2 that involves getting into the config interface of the unit itself, or should these work out of the box once the firmware update is applied? Survey123 forms are edited using objectId, so we HAVE to use objectid to add a Survey123 edit link to a map embedded in a dashboard. Is it possible to use another field to edit a survey in Survey123? If not, then all edit links to Survey123 forms must exist outside of an embedded map.

Is this on iOS or Android? In my testing on iOS and Android, when I try to connect to the R2 from QuickCapture while its companion app is running, the companion app (GNSS Status) loses connection to the R2. In Android, since using an external receiver takes over all GPS signals to the device, you can get around this by simply choosing “Location Services” in QuickCapture with the GNSS Status app running sending and corrected location to QuickCaptue via the mock location setting. It seems that there is a firmware upgrade coming but it is unclear to me if this will allow the signal to pass through the companion app first.

Ok, if this firmware update happens, it does not appear we can use the R2 with a VRS network for corrections if I am understanding this right. The corrections come from the GNSS Status app, not the R2 in the case of the VRS. If this firmware update happens will this allow us to use the GNSS Status app AND QuickCapture? Or are we left will only being able to use corrections that can be setup directly on the device, such as OmniStar? And in that same vein, from what I know of other devices and corrections they work the same way, meaning the corrections get configured in an app and not on-device, so I’m curious if a VRS network and QuickCapture is compatible at all. Thanks
