Tony, I am the only admin user and everyone else is just a viewer or has very limited access. So what I want to do will not work according to what you said, right? At least with my IWA setup as admin I still have to sign into my computer to get access to the network and when I want to access Portal I have to sign in again.

Tony, Let me see if I understand this correctly, If I use my windows login on my computer in the morning when I get to work and then want to access Portal, that is set up with IWA already, I will have to login again with the same username and password, so 2 times, correct? There is no way around this? does ESRI support anything like this?

In my organization we use IWA in Portal to login and view webmaps. Is there a way to login into Portal by just using your sign in name and password once when you log into your computer. I don't want to type in my login twice (once for my computer and once for Portal). Is there a way to be logged into Portal by just using your Name and Password once?

I have read the previous post and replies about Asset Management Software - GIS Integration Solution. They were all very good. My situation is a little different because our system of record is JD Edwards (Oracle). Does anyone have experience using JD Edwards as a system of record and syncing with ESRI? We are just starting the process and are looking for any help.

We are looking for a way to create transmission line routes automatically using constraints in ESRI software or any other supporting software. Does anyone have experience doing this?

I wanted to create Group layers in Portal 10.8.1. That was easy. The problem is that any feature under each Group does not have the ability to zoom to layer. This a feature that ESRI should look into for ease of use in real life instances. We have many Right of Way (ROW) agents all over the State. When we do bigger projects around the State, like notifying landowners that are assigned to a ROW agent it is nice to see where that is by zooming in per feature per Grouped ROW agent. Each agent can have 50 projects with each one having a feature. If I have 50 features under each Group it is impossible to find if I don't have the Zoom to tool available to me. Can ESRI find a way to incorporate this Zoom to feature into each feature under a Group under the 3 dots? This would be very helpful in my workflow. It does not work with 11.0 either

Marcelo, Thank you for the info. I was going to ask some questions after I read it but you summed it up perfectly. To set up a ticket, which area do I need to contact for support? Desktop, enterprise, Database? It is kind of complex.

Marcel, I do have ArcGIS 10.1 disks. Should I call Tech support to get some help with licensing? Will 10.1 Desktop work?

Well, it must have happened a while ago and IT will be unable to restore it. The other option is also not available to me either because I do not have the 9.1 - 9.3 sde disc with me anymore. I remember throwing it away because I upgraded everything to 10.x and IT reverted it back to 9.1. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Shannon I don't understand it, but it happened. In the version under the database that doesn't work it says 9.1. I know I upgraded about 10 years ago to 9.3 and then to 10.1, but somehow it got changed (IT). The other one that works says 10.7.1. I don't use this database obviously on a regular bases or else I would have known when the problem happened. I didn't create it, but I do want the data, table, design from it, so I can clean up the sde databases.. Is there a way to do this in sql server using some database diagrammer or design programm that captures the tables and how they are connected in sql server. I remember hearing something about that more than 10 years ago from an ESRI support specialist that worked with SDE databases.

Marcelo, I understand with what you want me to do and I don't disagree. The problem I am having is that I have another SDE database in the same area and on the same SQL server 2012 R2 that I can connect to using my ArcGIS desktop 10.7.1 or ArcGIS Pro 3.0.3, with no problem. Is there some way to fix it without upgrading at this time because everything else is working, upgrading is a hassle with IT, and there is no guarantee that upgrading will work and now everything that works now doesn't. Really all I want to do is copy all that info and design in that SDE database and paste it into another database if that one is somehow corrupt.

I know I upgraded to 10.x from 9.1. Somehow something is wrong or got changed. Nothing happened to my other sde.
