I just got a request from one of our field supervisors about this exact topic. He wants to get an email telling him whenever a new work order is created (whether or not it is assigned to him). I only have access to MS Power Automate so I was hoping to use a webhook that would be triggered by a new record being added to the assignment feature service, but all the documentation on that process only shows steps for Integromate which is useless to me (I am not an IT whiz, so it is beyond me to just "figure it out" using Power Automate). I am currently using Power Automate to send myself an email every time someone submits a Survey123 form, and setting up that process was pretty straightforward, so I was hoping that setting up the same scenario with new record triggers would be as simple. I have seen the Python script suggestions but I am not that far along in my Python knowledge to make them work or even know where to run them since we don't have Enterprise and work solely off of desktops and AGOL. I also don't have weeks to work on this as I have many other tasks that need to be done. Are there any other resources out there I am missing? I want to make sure I have ruled out every do-able option before I tell this field worker that it isn't possible at this time. Thank you!

Thanks for your reply. Here is the full story. I was using a hybrid reference layer that I had edited a bit using the Style Editor and saved to my account. I noticed a few weeks ago that the newest road updates I had submitted to the Community Maps program were not showing up. I contacted the Esri Community Maps staff about the issue and I learned that only the tile layers shown at this link will have the Community Maps contributions updated: https://www.arcgis.com/home/group.html?id=5ce5f87eb0824fed889e57795f7cab95&rmedium=esriurl_com_9_e&rsource=http%3A%2F%2Fesriurl.com%2FCMVectorBasemapGroup#overview I am specifically wanting to adjust this layer to my liking but can't find it in the list of styles to edit: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=b0f00f41a0ed4cb695760001d5be5c63 I get stuck on the following screen and no matter which tab I select at the top, I can't find this specific layer. The only community maps layer I could select to edit was a dark mode one that I don't need. Maybe I am doing something wrong or missing something?

Hello, My city has been an active contributor to the Community Maps program which has been great for us so far. However, I am having trouble understanding why I cannot access the vector tile layers which are updated through the community maps program in the Vector Tile Style Editor. When I go to select the basemap I would like to start with in the editor, none of the community maps layers appear except for one in dark mode that I don't need. These are the layers I would like to be able to adjust the style on (mostly remove labels I don't need and adjust some colors): https://www.arcgis.com/home/group.html?id=5ce5f87eb0824fed889e57795f7cab95&rmedium=esriurl_com_9_e&rsource=http%3A%2F%2Fesriurl.com%2FCMVectorBasemapGroup#overview Thanks for any help!

I figured out how to run the script, and once I figured out the syntax for passing the arguments to it, everything worked perfectly! Thank you!

Hello, I just migrated my old Workforce projects from Classic to the new release. I am trying to create a dashboard for upper management using the Dispatcher Map from the workforce project. However, I noticed that the pop-ups for the assignment layer show the globalID for the assignment type and workerID rather than a more user friendly text which I found is hidden in separate tables. I am thinking I might need to use Arcade to create custom pop-ups to pull the information I need from the related tables using one of the FeatureSet functions, but not sure where to start, and don't have a lot of time to fix this problem. Here is a screenshot of the fields that are currently gobbledygook and need to be more user friendly. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

As my city's first GIS person and as someone near the bottom of the totem pole, I also struggle greatly with trying to get upper management to see the benefits of a geospatial asset management system....and actually use it and/or enforce its use on their employees. There is a lot of "we are too busy to do something new", "we have always done it this way", and "we hired you to do mapping so we will just come to you if we need something". We had a subscription to a cloud-based asset management/work order system for a year and ended up never getting it off the ground despite many collaborative meetings, and trainings. Everyone is simply too busy doing the same old inefficient processes and putting out fires to do something new or even think proactively. It is a vicious circle that we will never pull out of until management or city council mandates that we have an asset tracking system. I have finally gotten some departments to start using web maps by making guesses at what they need the most (based on casual office conversations and listening to people's frustrations), and just making the web application and showing them how to use it (no more than 10 min trainings to not cut into their busy day). I usually deploy web apps to the younger or more tech savvy employees first, and when the other employees see them using it, sometimes they want access as well. This is a slow process though, and can take years (I have been working on this for over 4 years and only recently has web app usage started to catch on). Once I have a few apps that I know people are using, I make a hub site for that department as a one-stop-shop. Only users from that department can access the hub to keep sensitive data safe, and certain web apps are also restricted to just people in the department as another layer of safety. Right now I have a hub site for the Public, one for the Planning and Engineering department, one for Public Works, and one for the Fire Department. I add things to the site in the order they would be most useful. First the web apps they would use the most, then other other web apps that they may need, but not every day, and then PDF maps that they can print or download and aren't available as a web app. Finally, I include a section with dashboards that contain summary information and then links to external web mapping applications and sites that they may find useful.

Hello, I just deployed the Sign Inventory Solution to my AGOL account to begin collecting information on our street signs. As I am looking through the pre-configured feature layers, I see some fields that I have no idea what they are for or what information should go in them. Is there any schema metadata available for this solution that would give more information on each field and how it should be, or could be used? I am not a subject matter expert on street signs, so I am trying to learn about them from scratch so we can build this dataset (we don't have anyone else in the city that has time to work on this with me so I am doing this alone). I am also not really sure how to relate the signs and poles layers (I assume the poles get the unique identifiers which are then assigned to that pole's signs and related based on that unique id?) or best practices for symbolizing the poles/signs to make the map useable. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you!

webapps attachment viewer app attachment viewer I am using the attachment viewer app to show recorded plats for our planning and engineering department. The users love it, but we have come across an issue with scrolling the attachment horizontally after zooming in. We can scroll vertically, but the bar at the bottom of the screen that tells you how many attachments are available overrides the scroll bar (example below). The workaround is to use the arrow keys on the keyboard, but that is really not that intuitive for someone who is already using the mouse to navigate the map and zoom in/out. It would also be nice if the zoom in/out also worked with the mouse scroll wheel rather than just the + and - buttons. Is there a setting I am missing?

I am having the same issue as the original poster but I am running ArcPro 2.6, python 3 My code to add symbology from a layer works great if I run it in a Notebook, but does not work when used in a script tool. When run in the script tool no errors are thrown, and a little lock icon shows up next to the input layer in the Contents window, so it looks like it is working, but the symbology is unchanged. If I use the geoprocessing tool and run AddSymbologyFromLayer, it works perfectly so I know it isn't a bad .lyrx or other file issue. Ideas?

I have had issues with many files, both with and without Z and M values enabled. When I first posted my issue here, I was having issues with 3 of my 10 files on Hub - City Limits, ETJ, and Zoning. Only City Limits and ETJ had M and Z values enabled. When I disabled them, and re-uploaded, they started working as expected about an hour later. The City Limits layer initially would only work well for Spreadsheet and FGDB, the KML took at least 10 min, and the Shapefile took 25-30 min to download. The ETJ layer initially would only work for FGDB, no other formats worked. My zoning layer is the only one right now that refuses to download the KML format. It is not M or Z enabled, and is less "complicated" then many of my other layers that work fine.

Yes, right now it seems that the KML format of the Zoning layer is hanging. I waited 20 min the other day and it never downloaded. https://cibologis-cibolotx.hub.arcgis.com/datasets/city-of-cibolo-zoning?geometry=-99.515%2C29.353%2C-96.902%2C29.771&showData=true

Update: I got some of the layers to work by disabling their M and Z values (not needed in the layers, but were carried over from old CAD files). Some layers are still being very slow to download to KML format.

I just built my first HUB site to make it easier to share data with outside entities. However, I have a big issue. When I go to download certain layers (such as our city limits or ETJ polygons), only certain file types will download successfully. In general, the file geodatabase type and spreadsheet data will download just fine, but if I try to download as a shapefile or KML, the download button just shows that it is downloading forever...it "hangs". I haven't tested every layer, but it seems that some work fine (like our City Council Districts), and some do not . Here is the link to the site if you want to try it out yourself: Cibolo GIS Open Data Any tips?
