The Annotate Selected Features tool in ArcGIS Pro has been significantly improved in both performance and interface over the past few versions. One thing that I think would be quite helpful is a drop-down list of available annotation layers (as well as the ability to browse for one not in the current map) for the destination. Currently, the user needs to manually type in the name of the destination layer in the map. I think a drop down list would help ensure the name of the layer is entered correctly and add a bit of time saving convenience for us users.

I'm having the same issue. I created a replica SQL Server Express geodatabase for publishing to ArcGIS Server but I get Error 001487 when publishing. Publishing from the production geodatabase works fine. I've added the replica database to the data store and successfully validated it. For now I will use your work around of publishing the service definition to ArcGIS Server and then completing the publication of the service in Manager.

Currently layer transparency can be controlled on the Effects section of the Appearance ribbon in ArcGIS Pro. I think it would add to the inconvenience and ease of the application if the transparency control were to additionally be added to the Display tab of the Layer Properties window like it is in ArcMap.

Adding a new temporary field every time you need to perform a field calculation seems like a lot of extra work. A lot of people are going to be "bitten" by this when they use it for the first time because its only natural to expect an undo function when its always been there for you in the past. Also, since the default calculation script has switched from VB in ArcMap to Python in Pro there is a high probability that user's calculations won't turn out as expected the first go around. It shouldn't have to be that way. I've added my vote on ArcGIS ideas.
