Good Afternoon Dan, Thank you for your inquiry. At this time ArcGIS Maps for Office is the only Microsoft integrated product. Meaning ArcMap and ArcPro are standalone software. Esri Technical Support is the best resource for follow up questions regarding workflows or helping you discover a path to your end goal. Hope this helped answer your question. Best, Shannon | Product Engineer

Hi Kyle, Thank you for your inquiry. I was able to aggregate counties but my guess is, I was able to accomplish this by adding data using Cell Range. See the steps below and the sample data I used! 1. Open excel & sign in 2. Add Map (Add data from Excel using the Data format Cell Range as default) 3. Click Select range 4. Highlight the selected data range 5. Location Type is States 6. Select Map Style by column 7. (I selected) Column B 8. Select Add data OBJECTID Counties States STATE_FIPS CNTY_FIPS FIPS AREA POP1990 POP2000 POP90_SQMI Shape_Length Shape_Area 1 Lake of the Woods Minnesota 27 077 27077 1784.063 4076 4651 2 4.05546 0.56545 2 Ferry Washington 53 019 53019 2280.232 6295 7199 3 3.786161 0.718059 3 Stevens Washington 53 065 53065 2529.979 30948 40652 12 4.876296 0.795486 4 Okanogan Washington 53 047 53047 5306.18 33350 38640 6 6.673169 1.66911 5 Pend Oreille Washington 53 051 53051 1445.029 8915 11752 6 3.101655 0.455726 6 Boundary Idaho 16 021 16021 1279.299 8332 10068 7 2.943635 0.404983 7 Lincoln Montana 30 053 30053 3746.091 17481 18859 5 5.308776 1.180135 8 Flathead Montana 30 029 30029 5232.031 59218 73438 11 7.973459 1.642156 9 Glacier Montana 30 035 30035 3124.457 12121 12626 4 5.221489 0.985039 10 Toole Montana 30 101 30101 1943.26 5046 4556 3 3.356589 0.613868 11 Liberty Montana 30 051 30051 1485.946 2295 2222 2 3.071839 0.468896 12 Hill Montana 30 041 30041 2917.361 17654 16862 6 4.545181 0.920879 13 Sheridan Montana 30 091 30091 1686.583 4732 4006 3 3.213947 0.533393 Please let me know if this was helpful! Good Afternoon Andy, Thank you for your inquiry! From your post, I can identify 3 potential workflows. Can you help clarify for me the following (my questions are in bold): How can you import multiple addresses from an excel sheet and add a separator? Do you have the addresses in excel currently? or do you need to import address into excel? Here is the online documentation on adding a map using excel What do you mean by separator? See examples below: One address per cell Two address with separator I would like to put a different icon for the businesses and our Locations? Are you wanting to use your own image? In Maps for Office, see Style Layers > style by location (single symbol) > Advance options > Use a custom image > Or our styling options See Choose a layer theme I wonder if there is somewhere to do it by Type of Company/Address? You may add data using an address but ensure it is in the recommended format, keeping in mind there is an associated cost to geocode {40 credits per 1,000 geocodes}. I hope this was helpful! Please let me know if you have any other questions. Best, Shannon | Product Engineer

Thanks Alicia, @Tracy had a great suggestion to start eliminating possible causes. Also, is this xy data the orginal worksheet or did you use the tool to add xy coordinates from Maps for Office? One more suggestion, check the coordinate system being used. I had this happen to me before and it was because I was using the wrong projection. Here is the link for our online documentation, it maybe useful - https://doc.arcgis.com/en/maps-for-office/design-and-use/add-coordinates.htm Best, SC

Good Morning Tracy, I am sorry to hear about your pain points. Let me attempt to answer your questions and assist below: Question 1: What am I missing?! This is really plain data! Potential Answer: I copy/pasted a sample of the data you provided into a workbook and made the data into a table. I was able to add the data successfully using the following parameters: - Table 1 is the excel data - I selected the drop-down arrow for Location types and selected 'more location types' to find County Subdivisions - Styling by County Question 2: I'm not getting any errors, just something that doesn't load. Are errors being logged somewhere I can lookup? Potential Answer: I believe this lack of error or not loading has to do with the way the add-in is trying to read the data. Can you attempt my workflow (above) ? Question 3: (Not all that related to this question) Why are the prompts for updating the version of the add-in so inconsistent? Potential Answer: I am not sure what your existing workflow is on this part, however, I would say the easiest way is to uninstall Map for Office and reinstall the latest version from here - Download I'd like to know what the intended workflow is using this data and/or what is the ideal way to add this data (ex. using County or Counts or another variable)? This may help paint a clearer picture so we can determine the best way to proceed. I look forward to a response. Have a great weekend! Best, Shannon | Product Engineer
