Thank you for the feedback Naomi! This concern is on our radar and we are looking forward to implementing a solution in an upcoming release. I apologize for the accrued credits while you were testing Maps for Office. In addition, I wanted to provide the link to our online resources regarding credit usage, see: Frequently asked questions—ArcGIS Maps for Office | ArcGIS 'Show credits' is provided for our Geocoding and enrichment services at this time.

Sorry about that Susana! The renaming I mentioned is applicable to layers. To rename the map...simple click in the [space of the existing map title] and type the new title. Attached is a quick video demonstration:

Hello Charles, first and foremost, I am super happy to hear you are implementing Maps for Office within your business. Secondly, I have to apologize because there is not a current recovery option when the is closed on a map. However, one suggestion that came to mind would be for you to essentially 'hold' the master copy. Sharing your saved master and allow others to edit a 'copy'. Or perhaps the individual could also create a master copy each day and have a working copy. I know my suggestions aren't ideal so I will definitely be taking this workflow back to our team to see what we can do in future releases.

Hello Susan...This makes me happy!! Let me answer your follow up questions below: 1. Creating bookmarks is not a current functionality but this is dually noted! 2. Export legend is not a current functionality but again I will do take this information back to the team to see what we can do in future releases. 3. As for renaming maps, you can still rename under Layer Settings > select the pencil icon and enter the new map name (see screenshot below). Please let me know if this was helpful or if you have any follow up questions. Best, Shannon | Product Engineer

Good Afternoon Doug...Thank you for your post here! I have a few questions to hopefully help guide us towards a resolution. To confirm the issue you are experiencing, it is my understanding you have added 100 zip codes to a map and select Enrich data. At this point the first 25 zip codes populate the 'enriched data' and the other 75 zip codes appear blank? Please see my questions below: When the tool fails, are you getting an error message? Is the error specific to a worksheet or opening up any worksheets (with existing or blank)? What type of variable are you enriching your data with (example: population or something else)? Let me know your thoughts or findings.

Good Afternoon Kevin...Thank you for your post here! I have a few questions to hopefully help guide us towards a resolution. Please see my questions below: What type of data are we working within your excel sheet (addresses, xy coordinates, etc)? Is the error specific to a worksheet or opening up any worksheets (with existing or blank)? Have you uninstalled and tried reinstalling Map for Office extension (perhaps this was a 'bad' install)? Let me know your thoughts or findings. Best, Shannon | Product Engineer

Thank you Angus for the information. I am sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties sharing layers/maps. Let me attempt to answer your question below: Are there any mechanisms to log further information from the product or general troubleshooting guidelines? Yes, you may use Fiddler to capture or decrypt HTTPS traffic. You may find the download here. Also, can you upload a screen capture here of the error message you are receiving and perhaps the data set being used? If not, that is completely ok too. I can use in-house data to mock up your workflow. If by chance, you capture the fiddler log you may also upload that file here! Let me know your thoughts or questions. Thank you, Shannon | Product Engineer

Hello Josh, Thank you for inquiring about ArcGIS Maps for Office using the PowerPoint component. Toggling layers on and off is not a current functionality in PowerPoint unless in edit mode. The images in the PowerPoint presentation are static images (as you also stated). One possible suggestion would be to toggle between an Excel map and PowerPoint presentation to achieve use of live maps or layers you can turn on or off. An alternative option is to have multiple slides with the information you would need to convey in a map without being in ‘live’ mode, essentially capturing multiple static images. Visible layers included in the map on the slides are default. Meaning the map image in the present state is captured and copied to the PowerPoint slide(s). Layers that are hidden are typically those layers turned off. Since I am not entirely sure of the workflow followed here, I can only assume you are using Excel and select ‘Create Slide’. As for the Legend feature limitations…could you elaborate on the error messages you may be receiving or the limitations you are running into? We appreciate your feedback as we make every effort to improve our future releases. Thank you, Shannon | Product Engineer
