Hi @SimiBasu, I was wondering if you could check the feed again for me please as we're getting multiple posts a day for the article Make your Survey123 forms smarter with AI-powered image, text, and audio analysis. I thought it would have stopped by now but has been happening for the last few weeks. Any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks, Anthony

Thanks for the prompt on this @Stefan_Thorn, I agree the lack of progress is a bit frustrating. @ZaraMatheson could you possibly provide an update on print templates please given we are now almost 18 months on from this features beta release? Is it going to be rolled out fully anytime soon and will there be any changes to the licence restriction? Thanks

Hi @ShannonCardoza, Thank you very much for coming back to me on this. Please find my responses to your questions below: Yes I can see the data layer tabs in Excel but they do not show under the layers section of the ArcGIS for Excel map despite doing so previously. With regards to formatting, yes, I'm simply adding a filter to my worksheet, changing column widths and highlighting some of the columns I need to edit so no changes to the actual data that would need to be synced. On my tabs not being recognised as from ArcGIS Online - the layers no longer show in the map window and although my tabs persist any edits to the data are not recognised so I get no notification to sync and the changes do not appear in the feature service. With regards to losing connection during a session what I mean by this is that I've had an occasion where I was making edits and the sync option was appearing and I was able to sync without issue. But later in the session I noticed the sync option was not appearing and then found that the layers were not showing in the map window. So I ended up with edits in my worksheet that were not able to sync to the feature service. I'm the only person I'm aware of this issue but I don't know if others use it regularly. I use it to manage our users as we have python scripts that run and extract user data each day so it's very useful for managing that. As far as I'm aware there is no way to re-establish the connection other than removing the tabs and adding them back in. A way to reconnect would be fantastic as re-adding the layers resets the formatting and means edits can be loss which is where the frustration comes from. Is there potentially some kind of cache that may be getting reset that results in the loss of connection? I'm using an ArcGIS Online account. Thank you for the article link I'll be sure to check that out. Thanks Anthony

Hi, Just wondering if anyone else has issues with ArcGIS for Excel losing connection to layers added to the spreadsheet? I have a couple of Excel files that I edit every month or so that contain multiple layers from ArcGIS Online via the add-in. I spend time formatting the data in these layers using filters and highlighting certain columns to make them easier to work with but I'm constantly having to redo this as the add-in often fails to recognise that my tabs are from ArcGIS Online. Below shows the map window effectively saying there are no GIS layers within the map window (N.B. my layers are feature tables) but the three blue tabs below are all AGOL feature services that I have worked on in the spreadsheet previously. This loss of connection tends to happen between sessions but I have another spreadsheet where I've seen it lose connection during a session which has meant edits I've made in Excel will not sync to AGOL. Has anyone else seen this kind of issue and if so is there anything that can be done to prevent it? Is there a way to re-establish the connection without just adding the layers in again? The ArcGIS for Excel add-in has the potential to be a game-changer for working with online datasets but I find it increasingly frustrating that the connections to my datasets often get lost meaning I have to re-do a lot of the formatting or I can't be sure if my edits will sync. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks Anthony

Hi folks, I have been told by our customer Manager at Esri UK that this is being looked into so hopefully we do see some improvements on how European server outages are reported in the near future. I'll post here if I get anymore concrete details. @NoMonkey to provide some reassurance, before this year AGOL had been fairly stable for us as users since 2014 but this year appears to have been a bad one for outages. Again they have reassured us that this is being looked into so hopefully things get back to normal for the rest of this year and into 2026. What I would recommend though is to raise a ticket each time you see some kind of issue though as it's a good way to log the problems your org may encounter as a result of outages. Esri have insisted to us that they have not yet breached SLAs but the tickets you raise are good evidence if they ever do. Cheers

Hi @SimiBasu, Thanks for coming back to me again. So I'm getting this error message below. And then within the error outputs it's giving this error. Note I removed the client request ID as I wasn't sure if this related to me or the RSS feed but I can provide that if needed. { "status": 403, "message": "The underlying RSS server forbids incoming requests.\r\nclientRequestId: ********************", "error": { "message": "The underlying RSS server forbids incoming requests." }, "source": "rss-uks.azconn-uks-002.p.azurewebsites.net" } I did test my flow on an old run from 17th October and that still works so something appears to have broken it since. Thanks, Anthony

@SimiBasu, thanks for your response. The feed URL is https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/feed/?post_type=blog. Is that still the correct one? Thanks

Hi @SimiBasu, Do you know if the recent AWS issue has caused any problems with the blog RSS? My Power Automate flow hasn't run since last Friday and upon checking it I'm getting this error "The underlying RSS server forbids incoming requests". Any info on this would be much appreciated. Thanks, Anthony

Just to add our name to this issue too. Anyone heard anything from Esri yet? For those in Australia do you use the European server? Just wondering if this is a European or wider issue. Thanks

Hi @Shen_Zhang, Just wondering if this issue is likely to be addressed in the upcoming update? I've just come across this problem myself and have a table where I want to configure the same layer in multiple sheets with different filters but it is ignoring the pop up settings that are applied in both the map and to the layer via the visualisation tab. This means I will have to configure 40 plus fields multiple times. Also, is there any possibility that the ability to duplicate sheets in a table may be added soon? This would align it with the options you have for views in a section and would be a great time saving addition. Thanks Anthony
