Thanks!! I noticed this of course just after posting. This setting of course then also allows the hyperlink to be visible in the associated web app. This must be new? None of us remember having to do that before. But our problem is resolved...thanks for your help!!

Hello! I have noticed something that seems like a new features (and it's also annoying). I have a field project going on where teams are taking points with photo attachments (feature data hosted on AGO). In the Web Map when one clicks on the point, there is no hyperlink at the bottom of the default popup. It appears like no photo was taken. However, if one clicks "Edit" to edit the attributes and scrolls down, then the hyperlink can be seen and clicked. Also on a related note, in the Web App that I created for project teams to view the field work, there seems to be no way at all to even show a hyperlink to the photo taken. People are asking me "why weren't any photos collected" Has something changed in AGO, it didn't seem like it worked that way before? Options? Thanks!

Thanks! This is another good resources, and easy way to browse the data! In my case I wanted to download them because I have some additional uses for them, including trying to build them into viewshed analyses.(Yes I know that we don't have heights in most places on this data -- yet, but the footprints may still be useful with some assumptions built in)

I figure it out.... The first download got cut off and it was not the complete JSON file. When I ran the JSON To Features Tool in ArcGIS Pro 2.3 (from the command line so I could specify the feature type), it worked! Only took 22 minutes for all of New York State!

I had a similar question, and posted on here this week.. but I just solved the issue! I just successfully converted the New York State JSON file from Microsoft's GitHub downloads, using ArcGIS Pro 2.3 and it's "JSON To Features" Tool. I read somewhere in ESRI documentation that if the input is GeoJSON, not plain JSON, that you have to specify feature type: So I used this geoproc tool in the Python command window in Pro, not in the Toolbox, because the latter did not expose an option to select feature type. A spot check of the resulting shapefile seems to suggest this worked great! 4,844,438 buildings resulted, and it didn't take THAT long considering (22 min) Give it a try!

Hello! I am not sure how many of you are aware of Microsoft's program to use machine learning to map building footprints nationwide https://github.com/Microsoft/USBuildingFootprints ESRI has an ArcGIS Online site to view this data (https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=f40326b0dea54330ae39584012807126) but I'd like to convert this JSON data to a shapefile for our own purposes. I used Python in ArcGIS Pro 2.3, because documentation stated that you need to provide feature type if this is GeoJSON (as opposed to just JSON) arcpy.JSONToFeatures_conversion(r"H:\GIS\NewYork.geoJSON", r"H:\GIS\NewYork2.shp", 'POLYGON') it runs almost to the end and then I get this: "arcgisscripting.ExecuteError: ERROR 999999: Something unexpected caused the tool to fail. Contact Esri Technical Support (http://esriurl.com/support) to Report a Bug, and refer to the error help for potential solutions or workarounds. Unexpected end of file while looking for closing single or double quote; state : inPropertyName; buffer : ,"geome Failed to execute (JSONToFeatures)." Wondering if anyone has come across this before... seems like this should be a popular dataset. The file is a bear to try and open in a TextEditor to edit! (NY State is over 1GB!) Thanks!

Hello! We have a number of maps where, when you go to the details page of the web map, the dataset is not hyperlinked. Also, "Description" is greyed out when you view it on the map itself. We had this from some users as well at my previous job! My belief is that this happens when a user just opens a map, and uploads a zipped shapefile directly to the map using Add Data From File. The thing is none of these layers show up in the Organizations content page. (I am admin and can see all content/files) Where do they go? I assume they are consuming credits. What if I wanted to remove them? Thanks!!

I have a map (and associated Feature Layer) shared with an individual group in my organization. I decided to expand the scope of this map to my whole organization, so both items are checked on in "Sharing". It appears that when we do this, the entire organization can see the web map using ArcGIS Online, which is as intended. However, on Collector on the staff's iPhones, they cannot see the Map on Collector, even though it's shared with the entire organization. Those in the group are the only ones that can see it on Collector. Is this by design? Thanks!

Thanks James! Do you have any suggestions for a workaround for a scenario like this? They would like the ability to update the species record with either the common or Latin Name..... Cant' think of a way to do this without drop down lists! Thanks for your help!

Hello! I've worked with Survey 123 a bit, and have experience updating a text field based on a change in a Select one Drop down list. This works great! I have another requirement now for a 2-way update between two select_one drop down lists, and pulldata doesn't seem to work in this instance. I have two Select Lists, with species scientific name, and then common name. What we want is, if either of the two lists are updated, the "other" name for the sighting will be updated. It could work both ways. A user could enter either the common name or the Latin name, and have the other one update. Using the same pulldata approach didn't do this. I thought I read somewhere that this was not supported until v3. I upgraded and can't get it to work. Any thoughts? Thanks!!

Hello! I am new to Insights, just getting into it. Like it so far!!! I have a few questions that I hope others have come across and can help out with! 1. I have a Line Graph displaying time series data, that varies between 712 and 716. Oddly the y-axis goes from 0 to 716, and I cannot seem to change this. That range makes the line look like just a straight line. The variance between 712 and 716 is important to the data, but cannot be seen on the line graph. I see how to toggle beweteen log and linear y-axis ranges, but can I manually set the range? 2. I have a couple scenarios where I want to show two time series on one graph. (1 is a Line & Line, another is a LIne & Columns). It appears that to do this, the two variables MUST come from different tables. In each of these scenarios, the two data points i want to graph together are in the same table. It doesn't seem to allow that? Is there a way to make this work? I'd hate to have to store duplicate tables just to get the graph I want? 3. On a line graph, is there any way to shade the portion of the chart below the line? Thanks!!! Greg

Thanks Derek... reading that page, this can only be set up when the group is initially created. I had already created that group, which is why I didn't see it in the settings.... I'll create a new group tonight when the folks are out of the field and use this setting!
