We are using Online services to fetch routes. We have an application where we find etas and routes in parallel for multiple locations. Some of the locations are far off, and we see that Route comes after a long time.   When we are trying to solve many routes in parallel, we find that RouteTask is taking time (especially with far away locations)  … (Show more)

I'm using the SketchEditor to create a selection UI. This works great except that when users rotate the map, the rectangular envelope that is created by the SketchEditor rotates as well. Is there some way to prevent the SketchEditor shapes from rotating the shapes it draws, when the map rotates?

I pull data from a web map that's transitioning to a different end point with updated information and layers. Before, I used to be able to save the whole map to JSON including all feature layers and their features using the map.toJSON() method. In the new web map, I get the map's information (basemapLayers, spatialReference, etc.) and links to the… (Show more)

Click to view contentI'm developing an app in Swift where I need to draw an outline around a Polygon.   At the moment I'm using the following API   https://developers.arcgis.com/ios/latest/api-reference/interface_a_g_s_geometry_engine.html#af776cf76190e456bebc501e13cfba37a   + (nullable AGSPolygon*)… (Show more)

I have built an app using iOS SDK version 100.5.0 but it does not install on iOS 9/10 devices. I checked the release notes, iOS 9/10 is only supported in sdk version 100.2.1, not on later versions.   But, 100.2.1 framework size is too large and takes time to build IPA.   So I have few queries here, * What is the hack for making iOS9/10 devices… (Show more)

Click to view contentThe latest release of the Runtime SDK for iOS is here (see the release notes, and the general announcement over on the ArcGIS Blog), and it introduces some significant new functionality that will be built upon over the next few releases.   Some key highlights include Utility Network and the Navigation API, both of which merely scratch the surface… (Show more)

Hi All,   I have a new requirement for our apps to use external gps location updates (Bad Elf GPS Unit) besides the default Apple location service updates. I understood that I need to create a custom location display data source class that conforms to the protocol <AGSLocationDisplayDataSource> and replace the mapVidw.locationDisplay.dataSource.… (Show more)

Hi,   I am using the current 100.5.0 version of Esri SDK for iOS, We have a Service Url from which layers are loaded, Most of the layers are of type 'esriGeometryPoint' and have multiple symbols under the renderers.   The issue here is that, the symbols for which an image is uploaded don’t get drawn on the map, the other symbols with default… (Show more)

Bringing this over from a support ticket I filed through our MyESRI account in April/May.  They finally came back today and told me that this wasn't really something they could help with and that I might try posting to GeoNet.   Not sure what that means exactly, but to summarize... Our Runtime apps use the EOS SDK to connect to high-precision… (Show more)

I'm trying to select polygons based on where the user clicks. In order to do that I have   let mapPointQuery = AGSQueryParameters() mapPointQuery.geometry = mapPoint   This eventually works, but is EXTREMELY slow. When I pass in a rectangle for the geometry it is able to select a dozen or so polygons in ~2 seconds, but when I pass in a point it… (Show more)
