On November 20th, 2024, GIS Day reaches a remarkable milestone: its 25th anniversary! Though the field of GIS itself has been around much longer, this date of global recognition formalizes the ever-growing impact GIS has on all our lives.  

This year’s theme, “Mapping Minds, Shaping the World,” highlights the ways in which GIS connects people to accomplish great things together, and emphasizes the power of human creativity paired with technology to overcome incredible challenges.

Connect with your peers in the GIS Day 2024 Forum in Esri Community. There, you can learn from others about what they’re doing this year and what’s worked well for some during past years. You can ask questions or maybe you already have some experience that others could benefit fromwe want to hear it all! And, when you create a post or comment in the forum either on or before GIS Day, you’ll receive a sweet GIS Day badge for your Esri Community profile soon afterward.

This will be held the day before the official GIS Day, in part so that you all can host your own events or attend someone else’s event on GIS Day.

The live webcast will take place on Tuesday 19 November 2024, at 6:00 pm (1800) USA Eastern Time, 4:00pm (1600) USA Mountain Time, and 3:00pm (1500) USA Pacific Time.
