Hi,
I am using the newest version of the Shortlist story map template.  I have 5 point layers which translates to 5 tabs.  When a tab is selected the tab is supposed to changed color.  However currently the first two tabs and the last two tabs changes colors when selected but not the middle tab.  I never had an issue with the original Shortlist version (I want to upgrade to this new version for IE compatibility reasons).  Any help on this would be great.  I have already tried comparing the old code to the new code but cannot pin point where this went wrong..

Also, I made sure it wasn't my changes to the application that was the issue as the original files produced the same results.

Thanks!

Could you share a link to your Shortlist story map so we can have a look at the issue? Or if the app is not one you want to make public can you share a link to the ArcGIS web map it displays?

There used to be a bug in the Shortlist where a tab wouldn't adopt the highlight color if it had a & character in its name. We fixed that some time ago though and I can't repro the issue with these two test maps using the latest version:

Shortlist with 5 tabs two of which has & character in it:

Hi Rupert,
Sorry I cannot share the actual app since it is sitting on our internal servers.  However here is the ArcGIS web map it displays:  http://bit.ly/1lbc9Lh.

Thanks!

I see the issue now. In your web map, edit the name of the layer called "Waste & Recycling" to be just "Waste & Recycling" and it will work. Using  &amp instead of & in names was the workaround when we had the bug. When we fixed the bug, that workaround was no longer needed, and it looks like the Shortlist no longer likes the workaround 😐 But anyway, just use & instead of  &amp and it will work.

Thanks Rupert that was it.  I had a inkling that the ampersand would be the issue.  Thanks again!
