I am currently making a Story Map using the Map Tour template. I have imported photos from Flikr and made certain changes. Each time clicking the SAVE button, however when I exit the editing environment of the map application and open the application, the changes are not saved.
I also tried to add pictures to each feature in the feature service used (each map point) using images I had loaded as an item in AGOL, however they didn't save either. IT seems to forget them?
Loving the way this template looks! I am giving a lecture and using this instead of powerpoint.
Your Feature Service doesn't have the expected attributes to be used correctly with Map Tour (miss attributes for picture and thumbnail URLs). The builder is supposed to detect that, warn you and shouldn't let you import from Flickr. I will take a look at that issue.
To created the expected Feature Service, you can:
Remove your actual Feature Service layer from the webmap and refresh the builder, the application will let you create a new Feature Service (if you have the privileges in ArcGIS Online)
Download the sample CSV, optionally add/remove fields and create the Feature Service yourself (make sure to keep required fields)
Edit your Feature Service to respect the following requirements
That worked perfectly! I removed the feature service form the map, published the app, configured it and just added my flickr photos and now it's running perfectly.
