Hi Folks,
This is my first post in the ESRI forums. I am new to the GIS world and this is my first venture into Geo-statistics. I am a senior in biological sciences working with the universities systems ecology lab. I decided to take on a special project and was asked to do a comparison of Off-Road Vehicular disturbance between old 1948 imagery and current imagery. The Professor in charge of the lab suggested using Kriging to determine what level of recovery has occurred between the two time periods.
So, my question is, is kriging the best way to approach this? is there a better methods for approaching this kind of problem? Where should I look in order to teach myself how to do this?
