Hi all! I'm using ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 and MS SQL 2008. I have a dynamic map service that fetches many rows ( hundred of thousands). I would like to know if it is possible to use in the client User Interface the layerdefinitions function as a parameter that user will use to filter the data fetched by the map service, before it is rendered.
Ideally for me will be just to indicate the fields that i would like to use to filter the data, receive the values as drop down list in the user interface, and allow user to select the values of interest and apply the filter.
