I would like to analyze population growth, in a portion of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, with Census data using the Getis-Ord hotspot analysis. I???m including Census data over several decades, for example 1990 to 2010. First, how do I prepare the Census data? Do I combine the data into one table? For selecting a distance band, I understand it will depend on the characteristics of the input dataset. My data, hopefully, will include at least six towns.
