Does editing require a proxy page?

Hello all,

I have a template running fine for me but other people cannot draw lines because they disappear. Do I need to use a proxy page to fix this error?

Or more simplistically, when do I need to use a proxy page for stuff?

To your question, yes, editing needs proxy.
