It seems that all my online content that was configured with Bing Maps is gone. Does everything tied to this service get discontinued with it?

I get a message about a Bing Key missing and then the map seems to reset to a blank map. Does anyone know how I can save my configured content to update the base maps?

Hi Brady,

With the ArcGIS Online March 2013 update, organizations who want to include Bing Maps in their map viewer basemap gallery can add a Bing Map key to their map configuration. This is related to the phasing out of complimentary use of Bing Maps. For more information, please refer to the links below.

You can obtain the Bing key from the Bing Maps Account Center - https://www.bingmapsportal.com/

Once you have the key it can be added to your ArcGIS Online Organization  - My Organization > Edit Settings > Map > Bing Maps > (if you don't see the option for Bing maps, please clear the web browser cache).

You will then need to re-add the Bing Map to your web map. Open your web map in the ArcGIS.com map viewer, select Add Layer from Web and reference A Bing Basemap. You will be given the options - Bing Maps Road, Bing Maps Aerial, and Bing Maps Hybrid.

Please also review the Bing Maps Terms of Use if your goal is to continue using Bing Maps in ArcGIS.com web maps or other web applications.
