Hello,
Since the last update to the AGOL platform my time enabled data stopped working. Please see this map http://bit.ly/X8Z8ZQ .
Time is enabled in the MXD and works correctly. Please advise on how to correct functionality in web map.

I noticed that you have these two services published to your server:

https://maps.udot.utah.gov/ArcGIS/rest/services/PavementDataTimeEnabled/MapServer
https://maps.udot.utah.gov/ArcGIS/rest/services/PavementData/MapServer

You have both of these services in the AGOL map but it looks like the second service (non time aware) is the only one that's turned on in the map you provided the link to. If you check the time enabled service as visible, the time slider is displayed in the map. Is the issue that the features don't change when moving the slider?

You can check to see if a service is time aware by looking at the description in the REST endpoint. You'll notice that the first service has the following information indicating that it is time aware:

Time Info:

    Time Extent: [1927/01/01 00:00:00 UTC, 2023/01/01 00:00:00 UTC]
    Time Reference: N/A

Hope this helps!

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for responding. Yes the issue I am having is that the features do not change when using the time slider in AGOL. Is this something you can troubleshoot?

Hi Frank,

So I looked into this a little more and I was able to get it working. After adding the service in ArcMap, I noticed that the time slider was using 1 year intervals on January 1st of each year. After going into the time slider settings in the ArcGIS.com map viewer > Advanced options, I set the start and end time to January 1st and changed the option to display the data in 1 year intervals and this seemed to work.

I also noticed that the time slider goes all the way back to 1927 but the first year with data is 2013 with data going all the way to 2023.

One other side note; when using firefox I had to add the certificate for your ArcGIS Server as an exception to my browser since you have SSL enabled but did not need to do this for IE or for Chrome.

Let me know if this resolves your issue,

Daniel, S.
