In my application I created a map control which uses ArcGIS Javascript API. If I place my control on a page by itself it works fine, but if I put it within an update panel it doesnt! Unless I add another control that would enforce a postback on the update panel. which is the problem! I dont want my users to click a button to get to see their map. Any ideas? I tried many workarounds to invoke the postback and update the panel but I keep getting weird javascript errors from the ArcGIS javascript file "http://serverapi.arcgisonline.com/jsapi/arcgis/?v=2.8"
Any hints or tips are highly appreciated, I've been working on this for couple of days and no progress.
