How to combine any two APIs together?

Need help combining 2 apis into one MASHUP MAP

i want to combine the address locater form this map

into the editor of this map

http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/javascript/arcgis/demos/ed/ed_notoolbar.html.


my goal is to try to combine random APIs together. i want to search for an address (first link) and then add points using the editor (second link)

ive tried sorting through the code and i cant figure it out.
