Error Message When Loading Web Application

One of my applications that has worked until recently will not open. When accessing the application, it returns an error message indicating that an error has occurred and is unable to create the map. I tested to make sure there was nothing wrong with the web map, but found no problem here as it (and the data layer) loaded fine. When trying to access the application however, even by selecting the option to configure the application, I continue to receive this error message.

Does anyone have recommendations for resolving this issue?

My application is accessible at: https://mlibgisservices.maps.arcgis.com/apps/Shortlist/index.html?appid=111b4fab9420482b9168577a9eef...

Hey Justin,

Is all of the source data still accessible to the application? If you look at the web traffic when launching the Story Map, you receive, "Item does not exist or is inaccessible" for the URL, https://mlibgisservices.maps.arcgis.com/sharing/rest/content/items/f736decc85e74791830b1c894bf05bad?....

That being said, try searching your organization for the item ID f736decc85e74791830b1c894bf05bad to see if it's still in your organization. If so, is it shared appropriately?

Thanks,

Logan

Hi Logan,

Thank you for your suggestions. Searching for that item throughout my organization did not return any results. I'm certain that nothing has been deleted, so I'm uncertain where this item could be located that the application is trying to access. I am finding the story map application listed in my organization contents - I can click on it to access the overview, but both the view application and configure app options return the error message when selected. Permissions are set to everyone (public).

What is really strange is that I have another application using the same story map template as this application that loads just fine. The one that is opening is accessible at https://mlibgisservices.maps.arcgis.com/apps/Shortlist/index.html?appid=c8d7c36a2aa740faace70ca82adb...

Thanks so much for your help!

Justin

Hi Justin,

When did you notice this behavior with the Web App?

Do you have administrative privileges to your ArcGIS Online organization? If so, you should be able to search your organization's content for the Item ID f736decc85e74791830b1c894bf05bad.

If it doesn't show up here, I suggest downloading the ArcGIS Online organization's Activity Log and searching for the Item ID just to be sure it hasn't been changed or deleted.

Best,

Logan

Thanks so much Logan. Looking into the activity log, it does appear to have been deleted. I appreciate your help identifying the issue...now I just need to make repairs.

Best,

Justin
