How do I project a dwg file with unknown coordinate system
It might be easier to spatially adjust the dwg with a known feature class or aerial photo: About spatial adjustment—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop .
First, you have to identify the unknown coordinate system and only then can you project it
I was surprised to find that georeferencing worked with *.dwgs!
For future reference, the "GeoNet Help" space is for help with GeoNet itself, not general help from GeoNet users. If you explore the GeoNet Community Structure, posting to a more relevant space or place usually leads to more responses.
Sorry - Will find another source of information.
