JavaScript API 3.19 swipe story map

I'm not sure if this is a story map issue or a JavaScript API 3.19 issue, so apologies for cross-posting.

I've downloaded the swipe story map to host on our servers because I need to modify it slightly.  I have the hosted code on my test servers and it's working, but I'm seeing these errors in the Chrome console:

Uncaught TypeError: f.contains is not a function
at Object.isDescendant (init.js:97)
at HTMLDivElement.<anonymous> (init.js:184)

init.js is hence why I think this may be an issue with the latest release of the api rather than a specific issue with the story map.

The errors appear when I move the mouse over the righthand side of the swipe map.

Can anyone tell me what's happening?
