When using the editor widget, is it possible to disable the popup for all other feature layers except the one you are editing?

I have a simple editing application that uses two feature layers, one set as a feature service, on top of a basemap.   When I click on the map to add a new point to the feature service, the popup displays the attributes for the other feature layer that is under it.   I would like to be able to turn off the popup for that layer while the editor widget tools are selected.
