I need to add privileges for myself or make myself the admin for a server on our network. I have access and permission to connect to the server. I need to do this so that I can log in to the REST/admin in order to clear the REST cache. Can anyone walk me through the steps starting after I remote in to the server? Any help is appreciated!!

Thanks,
Josh

Josh,

Add the user account to the agsadmin group on that machine. Here is a related help topic:

THANKS!! I was actually already on there with complete privileges. There is just an issue that I am gonna have to address with ESRI tech support because when I enter in my user name and password it just directs me right back to the login admin page. I have had other users with admin privelages try to log in and they are having the same problem.

Joshua,

Can you try loggin in as a local agsadmin user instead of a domain account? This behavior you report could related to: NIM059442 http://resources.arcgis.com/content/...D=TklNMDU5NDQy.

If using https, make sure you access the login page by typing the full url to the rest admin login page (https://server/arcgis/rest/admin/login) instead of the page being redirected from http to https endpoint.

Thanks
