I have been working on a few custom widgets for the Web App Builder, but I would like some input as to what widget/functionality people are wanting most.

The WAB has several great OTB widgets but what (realistic) widgets are missing and would be (in your opinion) great to have?

Liana,

Yes, I was very reluctant to finally admit defeat on that one.

Perhaps a widget that would interface with WebEOC

mailing list widget

Select a feature, enter the buffer distance, and export mailing list pdf . . .

I've only seen this paid version...

Cheers.

Evan,

The problem with that type of widget is that it requires a custom print template for the mailing labels and I have no plans to host a custom print service on my ArcGIS Server for everyone to use.

Hi Robert,

I am trying to add the ability to generate mailing labels to an app, and I was hoping to connect this to your enhanced search widget. I was hoping to use JavaScript, maybe PDF.js from Mozilla on GitHub. I'm wondering if you have any code that would help in adding PDF generation to the enhanced search widget or any suggestions on what PDF library to use?

Thank you for your time.

William

I use roberts Enhanced search widget (export to csv) in conjunction with a mail merge from microsoft word.  Works a treat.

A Label Widget.  One that generates labels based off of an attribute(s) with more placement options and the ability to move them around.

Robert,

In addition to the eDraw custom widget that already exists, I think it would be worth it to have a slicker looking Draw widget that allows for editing, exporting, and importing drawings.  eDraw is showing issues in the newest version of WAB Developer Edition so having another option would be fantastic.  Love your widgets, Robert!
