Hi Robert, I saw the answer you gave to Ben about there not being a GeoRss widget for WAB and you mentioned to him to try the Add Data Widget because it accepts GeoRss URL's. I was looking for either the GeoRss or a similar widget that works a lot like the GeoRss widget for Flex did. That one allowed a person to add in a .XML file.

I used it to connect to Transguide cameras in the State of Texas. I created a .XML file with all of the camera X & Y locations as well as their web addresses. It would then pop up a separate window and open up the camera's URL to a live view.

Would you happen to know how I could access the State's site directly through WAB? Here is the TxDOT link.  This link is to the States camera system. There is a map tab and a camera tab.

Thanks Robert, any help would be appreciated.

Mike,

If you can convert the xml to GeoJSON format then you can use the LocalLayer widget to access then as a layer in WAB:

Hello Robert,

I am trying to show symbols using unique values I have created for the services but when I use "from Server" it only shows the symbol for the <all other values> value. I am not sure what I am doing wrong because the results will show all the different symbols in the Operational Layer just not in the map.

Alfonzo,

What is the context of this question? Sounds like you are talking about the eSearch widget but I need to be sure.

Ray,

It is hard fro me to say whats going wrong. I can confirm for you that the eSearch does not have an issue using unique value rendering from the server as I have many search layers using that. You can see this on the Live preview site.

Robert,

When I reviewed the Live preview site I notices the search later Crimes was exactly what I wanted mine to do. When I load eSearch into a new application I don’t have the Crimes as one of the pre added layers. I wanted to see how that one is set compared to the other three since the others are just one symbol.

I am setting up the Expression Value I select “Any” for the matching criteria but it keeps reverting to “All”.

Thanks,

Ray Jimenez

Ray,

Which version of the widget are you using?

Robert,

I downloaded 2.2.1 and used that version but I am going to try earlier versions.

Hello Robert,

I tried to test a different service to see if I am getting the same results. Unfortunately I am. Is there any way I could get the rest address to your Crimes search layer so I could compare it to mine?

Thanks,

Ray Jimenez
