Hello. I'm student in first year of geology master. At university we use ArcGIS. Our teacher asked us to set up a free project about the area of Yvette valley near Paris (in the Chevreuse valley). So he put lot of data in the university intranet asking us picking up into for invent a project.

I have a very clear idea of ??????what I want to do. I would like to model the piezometric surfaces underground.

The relevant data I have are

??? An IGN map of Yvette valley.
??? A vectorial layer representing by polygon and lines all water points in the valley (rivers and swamps). Well, anyway they appear on the IGN map .

What I need to do:

1: Create a point layer. I want to put points with an elevation everywhere there is water in surface.
2: interpolate to get a raster surface through these points.
3: make mathematical transformations on this raster layer to correct it.

That's it. My problem is I don't know what are the necessary manipulations . In summary I know what, but I do not know how.
