I have an image service with its property set to  download (50 records) plus its rows and columns set to 20000. What I want to do is allow the user to download just the pan sharpened image of what is in his window (1:50000), not the raw imagery.  I right click on the layer and  click export data. I set the extent to data frame and check the Use Renderer Force RGB options. I then set the output location to a directory on my local drive. I am trying to create either a tif or img file. The exporter runs in less than 5 minutes. The file is under 2 gig. When the image is added to the map, it is all black. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Bruce Burwell Saudi Aramco ... I have set up a large mosaic dataset of Landsat imagery. Within the overall mosaic dataset I have put a percent clip stretch function. When I write the function to a referenced mosaic dataset, the function is no longer applied to the MD. I can set the stretch on the imagery in the TOC but it is not maintained. I have also tried creating a layer file with the properties set. This works but when I create a service, I am no longer able to query the data in the desktop environment. I am trying to create a mosaic dataset of Geoeye data covering a study area. The image was acquired at the same time and then cut into 7 tiles and delivered to our office. When I load the images into a mosaic dataset and use the merge option, it recompiles it back into 1 image, but the data has black edges in areas of overlap. The imaery has 3 rows with a couple of images on each. It looks like the data is simply stacked and not blended together when merged. Anyone have any ideas? I am trying to register folders on our development ArcServer instance. I weas wondering if I needed to register each folder or are the folders inherited. For example, if I have a folder called data and inside that folder are 10 different folders with different data stored in them, I am assuming I would only register the data folder and not all the individual folders residing within. Hello I am trying to reproject my annotation feature classes but the results are slanted due to the projection. What is the easiest method to "straighten" the annotation in ArcMap 10? Hello I am trying to to enable some of my services to to be WMS enabled but keep getting the errors "No Resources found at that address". I have tried a map service, image service from mosaic dataset and a simple 1 image service. I have copied the link from the service properties tab as outlined in the instructions but it doesn't work. Hello I have an orhorectified Geoeye mosaic dataset that I have create a service from and the performance is very slow (roughly 10 seconds to render at 1:9000 scale). The mosaic dataset is part of a map service and has a scale reference set up for 1:9000. I have created pyramids for the data. Its being orthocorrected and colour balanced on the fly and reprojected to web mercator from UTM. I am just wondering if there is anyway to speed up the rendering without caching the data. I have large volumes of image data that I would like to integrate with ESRI's Image basemaps or the Bing Basemap. Specifically what I would like to do is have 1 Image basemap button that displays ESRI data down to a certain scale and then our own internal data turns on at a greater scale. It should look like a seemless cache on 1 button. I have tried to compile them as a Map Service and set scales but it doesn't like that with cached data.
