Hi Elena, Check this out LAS Dataset questions ArcMap 10.1 and ArcScene 10.1 When creating an LAS Dataset through ArcToolbox, I would add all of my .las tiles, then choose a coordinate system, but did NOT check the box "Calculate Statistics" before creating the dataset. I'd then end up calculating statistics later using ArcCatalog. Every time I did this, the Profile View in the LAS Dataset Toolbar did not work and showed up as greyed out. Hi Karoline, You could also change it in ArcCatalog > Properties of the Feature class > Fields. You can not change the layer properties in Table of Contents of ArcMap. But you can change the alias name in it.

Check if the following changes in the I.E. settings, has any effect on the display. Enable software rendering Open Internet Explorer and press the “Alt” key to show the menu bar. Click “Tools,” select “Internet Options,” and then choose the “Advanced” tab. Click the “Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering” box and then click “OK” to save your changes. Check to see if the issue has been resolved.
