Why not create an unmanaged raster catalog and then export to a raster via the Raster Catalog to Raster Dataset?  Since you are not using any of the custom display or performance improvements that are only available in a mosaic dataset, the unmanaged raster catalog should work.  I would recommend creating that and then convert if you are still having issues. ... Per the attached blog, I would recommend being sure that your two TINs and the polygon are not identical.  I have found that so long as you have some difference between them. For your purposes, I would use the buffer tool to create a slightly smaller or larger polygon to give it something to cut against. Any of the rasters can be resampled to a finer cell size with the Resample tool.  That should allow you to manipulate the cell size.  As long as you are not projecting the data each time or reshaping the boundary then you should not be creating more NoData values. ... View more

Are you opening the scenes on a different computer?  Since you are using a USB then I guess probably.  I would consider remaking the scene, be sure you are saving relative paths and then try it again.  There have been issues if you are using TINs with AMD/Radeon video cards, which may be part of the issue.  What you are encountering could be video card related or perhaps path to data related. Why not create a terrain or TIN with the data used as softlines?  That may work if your area is rather large and fails in the Topo to Raster tool.  You can then convert the TIN or Terrain to a raster if necessary. ... View more
