You can import colladae files and other models into ArcScene for display. You can also export the complex models as textured multipatches in a geodatabase. City Engine is a mass modeling software and the models created there and exported as a geodatabase or model can be utilized in ArcScene/ArcGlobe. There are examples using 3d Analyst/ArcScene. Also there are other examples of the use of both technologies like this one.

It appears that the output location in the geodatabase will not allow the .tif extension to be used. You have to save it in a folder location. Glad you were able to figure it out.

I am not sure what software would produce a .dtm. Please look at the supported raster formats and try to find a data format that is supported.

Depending on your data, if it is point then you can use the Add XY Coordinates tool to see the z field, which will be added. If it is line files or polygons then it will be stored in the geometry. The only way to see the values would be to open an edit session and open the vertices window.

This appears to be an issue with the SDE version of a Mosaic Dataset. It is reported in the bug report NIM084428. It is still being worked on, as a workaround the recommendation is to use a file geodatabase.

The map service should still publish, but the mosaic dataset will not display. The server logs will indicate probably that that mosaic dataset cannot be seen due to licensing. You could still export the mosaic dataset to a physical raster and then add it to the map document and publish it as you always have, but as long as you have a mosaic dataset or an unmanaged raster catalog, the licensing will be needed. The only way to publish it otherwise is when you have exported it. For more specific information, I would recommend contacting your account manager.

I would recommend providing much more information than you supplied for this question. Usually all of the 3d operations will fail if you do not have closed multipatches. I would recommend the Is Closed 3d tool and then the Enclose Multipatch tool prior to running the tool again.

Why not create an unmanaged raster catalog and then export to a raster via the Raster Catalog to Raster Dataset? Since you are not using any of the custom display or performance improvements that are only available in a mosaic dataset, the unmanaged raster catalog should work. I would recommend creating that and then convert if you are still having issues.

As previously mentioned, the zonal statistics as a table will work. Once the table is generated, you can join it back to the parcel polygon feature class. This should create the desired output.

Per the attached blog, I would recommend being sure that your two TINs and the polygon are not identical. I have found that so long as you have some difference between them. For your purposes, I would use the buffer tool to create a slightly smaller or larger polygon to give it something to cut against. Also depending on the polygon, you might consider making the polygon 2d for the clipping purpose.

AOI tool with ArcScene is to limit the display, but not the processing. If you would like to limit the processing of the contour tool, then use the Output Extent that is respected by the tool.

Well yes, I would be sure the cell sizes match and the snap raster is used to avoid having to resample during processing. However, you should definitely have both of the coordinate systems defined. The default setting in the environment settings for the tool are to follow the input coordinate systems. If your data is not defined it will not be when you process it.

Can you send a screen shot of the icon you are getting with your Naip Aerials? As long as it is not a mosaic dataset I think you should be able to add any of the supported raster formats. Normally NAIP comes in sid format. What happens when you try to add your NAIP to ArcMap? Will it add?

Any of the rasters can be resampled to a finer cell size with the Resample tool. That should allow you to manipulate the cell size. As long as you are not projecting the data each time or reshaping the boundary then you should not be creating more NoData values.
