What is the input format prior to the clip?  If it is trying to create a 32 bit raster then that is the problem.  I would stick to a .tif, Esri GRID or .img format. For file based mosaic datasets, the default location is in a folder where the geodatabase is located.  The location for SDE mosaic datasets defaults to inside the database.  You must use the Define Overviews to alter this location.  There are settings for the compression, resampling method and compression quality that can be altered within that tool, but the overviews are always tifs. ... Normally you would look at the source properties on the sid, but at this point I would suggest to follow Luke's suggestion of the viewer. If you cannot see the sids with the viewer, then they have been corrupted and will need to be downloaded or if they download is correct the vendor needs to be contacted to upload the correct version. ... Have you tried the Clip tool?  With the geometry option chosen, the output should be what you want.  With your Extract by Mask output, did you check to see if a stretch was applied to it? Or more importantly, check the symbology options were different?  I would start there, the tool will not change the values unless it needs to resample and then only slightly.  However, if there were no statistics before or not a stretch applied, then the look of the raster will be different. ... If the overviews are the checkerboard, then you have to confirm on the attribute table of the footprint that they were actually generated.  If they were generated, then try to use the path specified by them where you are trying to access the mosaic dataset.  You should not be able to hit that folder if it is a permission issue, so you will have to allow the user to access those overviews via folder sharing/security.  If they have not been generated, then use the Build Overviews tool.  Remember that the checkerboard is the default behavior when either the source raster or overview cannot be seen, but has been created. ... If there are three bands and it appears as color infrared now, then you may have a different issue. The red band probably has been replaced by the infrared band, giving it the reddish appearance.  With that in mind, you do not have a red band now. The only 3d portion of a 3d polygon is the edges.  Are you trying to harvest the inner section as well?  If so then I recommend converting the polygon to a Multipatch and then the surface to a multipatch as well. Then you could use the Intersect 3d.  Or if the 3d polygon is at a constant elevation, consider the Surface Volume tool or the Polygon Volume tool after you convert the raster to a TIN. ... If you are having issues with the output of an Esri GRID, then by all means, add a .tif or .img to see if that solves it. Sometimes Esri GRIDs can be stripped by Network Security on specific networks, although I have never been able to reproduce it locally. ... View more
