Thanks for your reply. I have tried ${GeoTags[0]} with all three format options and it does not appear to work.

Vlad, Thank you for the reply. So here is my setup: I have two feature services, one contains my alerts / user entered items, the other feature service contains a layer of my geo fences. The services have the following attribute fields: Alerts CREATED MESSAGE PRIORITY Geo Fence layer AreaID Region ManagerName My target goal: When an alert occurs within one of the geofences I would like to append multiple fields from that geofence to the output (GeoEvent) of the GEP service. (So now the geo event would contain AreaID, Region, ManagerName, plus the existing alert attributes) I would then like to be able to insert those fields into the message body of an IM output using the "${FIELDNAME}" method. Thanks, Mark

I have two questions: Is there any documentation on the GeoTag format property of the Processor element? I don't really understand the purpose or intended usage of this option. I'm trying to use the ${FIELD-NAME} function in the message body of my IM output. Is there anyway to access the separate items in the geotags fields? I'm trying to do something like: ${GeoTags[0]} to give me the first item in the list. Thanks, Mark

I would like to "geo tag" several fields from a geo fence, not just the name. I have figured out how to get it to tag with the fence name, is it possible to tag a geo event with other fields from the geo fence as well?

I have a GP service published that seems to have stopped working. I can run the models in arcmap and publish them just fine on the same machine. What are the steps for trouble shooting this kind of error? The only messages I have in the log are Error executing tool. ERROR 000816: The tool is not valid. I've attached a copy of the GP tools I'm using and the steps I've followed to publish them. Any help would be appreciated. The service used to be working just fine. Could upgrading my copy of arcmap have anything to do w/ the service stopping to function correctly? Thanks, Mark

When I was attempting to make this work I never was able to find a way to make it happen. The SDK has changed since then so it might be possible now but I have not tried it. Good luck!

Andrew, Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Turns out my test project still had a reference to the old SDK, and the problem actually existed between the keyboard and the chair 😄 I updated my SDK reference it and was able to find the methods in question. -Mark

Andrew, This appears to be exactly what I was looking for, thank you! Do you have happen to know if there is something similar in WPF SDK as well? I'm not finding a GetServiceInfo call on that API. Thanks, Mark

I have figured out what the issue was here. It was not working because I didn't have a basemap layer added to my map document when running the model.

Hello, I am trying to figure out how to programmatically get the list of available input parameters for a geoprocessing task and the choice list for the parameters. My end goal is to populate a combo box with the available choices. Here is an example of one of the input params in my service: Parameter: Day_or_Night_incident Data Type: GPString Display Name Day or Night incident Direction: esriGPParameterDirectionInput Default Value: Day Parameter Type: esriGPParameterTypeRequired Category: Choice List: [ Day, Night ] I have tried to get them with calls to GetInputAsync like so: geoprocessorTask.GetInputAsync("1", "Day_or_Night_incident"); This does not work, i just get an error message returned of: Error = {"Invalid or missing input parameters."} What is the proper way to get a list of input params and their choices for a GP service? I couldn't find any SDK samples that do this. My GP task works fine in ArcMap and when called from the SDK w/ my parameters statically defined so I know there is not an issue with my service. Thanks, Mark

Hello, I'm trying to setup the ERG tools, which are part of the COP template for 10.1. When trying to execute either the ERG By Chamical or the ERG by Placard tools I get the following error. I am clicking on the map (in ArcMap 10.1) to place a point before running the tool. Can some please guide me down the right path? Hey I'm having difficulty getting the entire route (in blue) to display in the SDK sample for Driving Directions Online. The code in the SDK looks OK to me but the geometry/graphic is just not appearing on the map. I checked in the silverlight SDK just to compare and that appears to be working as intended with the entire route displayed in blue and the selected segment displayed in red. Can some one please give me a clue as to why this isnt working in the WPF SDK?? Thanks, Mark

I am looking for an event or some way to handle double click on a graphics layer or more specific on my features in a feature layer. Any one done this before or have any ideas? I know this sounds super simple but I can not find an event handler for it.... Thanks, Mark

I believe I have found a bug in the feature layer update routing. I am displaying a feature layer with several thousand points and have its mode set to OnDemand. My application has a timer which calls Update and Refresh on the layer to update the display every minute. If I am panning the map and its attempting to update the layer while my timer fires I receive the following error???. System.NullReferenceException was unhandled by user code Message=Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Source=ESRI.ArcGIS.Client StackTrace: at ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.FeatureLayer.update() at ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.FeatureLayer.Update() at NGC.WinUI.CADControls.Mapping.AutoRefresh._tmr_Tick(Object sender, EventArgs e) in C:\Users\Mark\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Projects\XXX\Mapping\AutoRefresh.cs:line 158 at System.Windows.Threading.DispatcherTimer.FireTick(Object unused) at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.InternalRealCall(Delegate callback, Object args, Boolean isSingleParameter) at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.TryCatchWhen(Object source, Delegate callback, Object args, Boolean isSingleParameter, Delegate catchHandler) InnerException: Its appears as if this exception is being throw up from the ESRI code base. Just thought I would drop you a line on this. I am wrapping my timer update code in some exception handling for the time being.
