OK, so I was definitely in the wrong folder! Sadly, I made the changes there, restarted ArcGIS Server, and the old layouts are still there.

No luck on that method, unless I'm editing the wrong MXDs. I've updated the ones in C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.4\Templates\ExportWebMapTemplates and restarted ArcGIS Server, but there's no change online. That folder is not registered in my Data Store, which makes me wonder if I'm just in the wrong place.

Rather than publish my own custom print templates, I just want to make some minor tweaks to the default and republish them. I went through the Publishing additional services for printing tutorial and got to step 13. I chose the option to overwrite an existing service with the plan of overwriting the service that my web maps are currently using. However, there is no service (as near as I can tell) in the group of services that I have running on my server. Is it possible to overwrite the default print service? Or do I have to make my own and redirect the web app to pull from that folder?

That is my experience today as well. I even tried recaching an entire layer and then running the Manage Map Server Cache Status tool, but never could get any of the levels back to 100%. Very frustrating.

I'm running 10.4.1 and have run into this problem a few times. I still haven't pinned down the root cause, but here's what I observed this morning. When I tried to delete/rename the Status.gdb, I couldn't because the server had locks on the database. When I opened Task Manager and looked at the Performance tab, the CPU was running around 45%. I ended up stopping/starting the ArcGIS Server service and then checking to make sure all of my services restarted properly. That killed the lock, which allowed me to delete the Status.gdb. I'm running the Manage Map Server Cache Status tool right now and it appears to be working. My guess is that "something" happened while the cache was cooking on the service that was having issues and it ended up with a runaway process that I couldn't identify. This workflow resolved my issue.

This error took me a while to resolve, so I thought I'd throw it out as a discussion item so that anyone else with the issue had a resource. The message occurred when I was trying to publish a survey from Survey123 Connect. Here's a screenshot: As it turned out, I was using EDITOR as a name for one of my fields. That isn't in the list of reserved keywords, but when you try to publish, it will generate this message. Took me a while to troubleshoot, but renaming it EDITOR_1 fixed the problem. In an amusing twist, the problem was indeed related to proxies -- just not the WAB kind. IT had to add the new site to a reverse proxy rule on a different server to make the link available. Website is working fine now, but will be taken offline until we're ready for the "soft launch." Robert, I am once again grateful for your assistance!

Correct. I have three applications in the wwwroot folder - there is a propertymap folder, a mapgallery folder, and now the propertyviewerupgradetesting folder.

Just double checked, and there is no subfolder. Here's a screen shot. Does it matter that I don't use the suggested name for the zip file when I download it from my machine? It suggests Douglas County, KS Property Viewer.zip which struck me as a bad file name because of the spaces and special character. I rename it to propertyviewerupgradetesting.zip before downloading, then transfer the file to my server and unzip it there without futher renaming.

It's a long name: propertyviewerupgradetesting. Eventually it will be renamed to overwrite the current property viewer website, but we want the two sites to co-exist for a week or so as a "soft launch." My current property viewer is https://dgco.douglas-county.com/propertymap/index.html , so the new map should work as https://dgco.douglas-county.com/propertyviewerupgradetesting/index.html .

I apologize in advance if this is the wrong forum to post this question in. If there is a better place to ask for help, please let me know! I have successfully created a website using WAB Developer Edition installed on my local machine and am ready to deploy. I've read and re-read the Deploy your app page, but I don't understand the part about configuring and adding a proxy. I've followed the links to Use proxy and went through both of the blog posts that explain how to set up a proxy. Unfortunately, I am not an IT person and while I have aspirations of being a GIS web developer, I do not know enough to make sense of the reasons why you need to set up a proxy. In short -- I don't know if I need to set up a proxy, nor do I understand how to set one up. That being said, I don't think the proxy setup is the root of my my problem. I've downloaded the code package onto my GIS web server and unzipped it into my inetpub > wwwroot directory. I've opened IIS and converted that folder to an application. Is there anything else that I need to do to make the website available on the internet? When I try to open the website via the web, I get a plain page with the text, "The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable." I know I've entered the web address correctly, and my other two applications in the Default Web Site directory work fine. I should add that if I open a browser on my machine and type in \\servername\applicationname, the site works fine. If I try the localhost path on the server, the "app loading" page appears but the app never actually loads. I'd appreciate any resources that will help me learn more so that I can resolve my issues on my own. I'm eager to expand my knowledge, but am really struggling to find a good starting point.

No wonder I couldn't find it! I was looking in client > sitemapp > widgets. This resolved my issue, so thank you for the fast and helpful response.

OK, that probably explains my issue. Thank you! I like the otb Share widget, but I can't use it unless I can figure out a way to turn off the "Query a feature and zoom to it" option. That functionality allows the end user to query our parcel database by owner name, which our county does not want. I can't hide the owner field from the parcel layer because the county wants to show owner information in the pop-up window. (In short, it's OK to see who owns a specific parcel, but it is not OK to allow queries that will quickly highlight every property a person owns.) Do you have any ideas on how I could achieve that? I've been reading through the code, but I fear that the section I need to comment out is not exposed. (I'm a JS noob, so that doesn't help.)

Does the current version of this widget work with WAB Developer version 2.4? When I first add it to my map, it works, but subsequent clicks to activate the tool fail. (I just get the "loading" circle, but nothing ever appears.) I'm not sure if this is a compatibility issue or if it's because I am just testing on localhost and have not enabled the map for full use yet. Appreciate any clarification you can offer! - Amy
